Snow is melting...no more working from home...back to the office. But schools are still closed! WTH!
January is moving too fast. It hardly feels like three weeks. Only adjusting my watch helps me to keep track...
Christmas is right around the corner...
How the hell are you not a friend yet? Fixed.
yeh dude told you so :P what we need is a bureaucracy czar
Thanks ! I never complained because that's for randos.
Finally! There's a chance Tyll might come to our lab and take look at what we're doing.
Congrats. That's really exciting. Happy for you.
I just realised that am getting too caught up with gears instead of music. Continuous desire to upgrade. No. Good enough is enough for me.
Good on you. Don't forget to apply this to other areas of your life as well.
Outside of this "mystery" amp coming out in March, I'm settled. Time to delete some audio bookmarks and move on to other things.
@Skyline Thank you. May I know what the mystery amp coming out in March for reference? :)
Only @Marvey knows. He likes to mention it vaguely as often as he can to drive the rest of us crazy and to make us envious of his privileged status in the audio world. Kidding, of course. Sort of :P
Yeehaw! It feels so good when it quits hurting. Episode over. Back to being a NC again.
I need more like buttons than are available.
The LCDi4 is honestly so good. This sound + nothing on your head is a cool sensation. Expensive yes, but if they work for your needs, wow!
Should note. I have no affiliation with Audeze, just really enjoying them is all.
I'm currently enjoying /adjusting to the full size LCD-4. I haven't checked out the i4 yet
I have the LCD-4 as well, and the i4's are similar. I really enjoy both, and there is a definitely a bit of new toy syndrome going on here, but I really do think the i4 is worth a listen for anyone if they get a chance. The fit is kinda weird at first, I'm still working on getting it perfect a week later....
Any friends/contributors wanting some Dynamat and (glittery) foam for a 650 KISS mod, let me know. I have a modest amount spare.
Any possible interest in my custom crossover energy veritas? (back when i was on a xovr kick) http://bit.ly/2i9qgu6 ..or just hang on to 'em
Electrically they are an an exact match... result was more clarity from resistors, slam from the inductors,
"plankton" no doubt from the caps
Avatar is my tip o' the cap to a certain amusing and oh-so-in-character appearance on Tyll's youtube space.
Clear in the house! Want to get a better amp, but gonna wait until march to see what's coming.
nice man. hmu with some sweet listening impressions bro.
A photo of a store I've been passing for years. Wish I knew enough about tubes to appreciate it. https://imgur.com/HHhcmJV
That’s pretty cool btw. I always wish we had something like that around here. Imagine what a daunting rabbit hole they are without a local store like that
@dllmsch Nelson Street. No idea what the building name is, but it probably is the one you mention as I've noticed stores upstairs. I just go there for the outdoor equipment store.
I'd hate to be the poor guy that would have to dust the tube rack(s). Could lose hours/days in a store like that.
Snow days, man. They're good...up to a point: https://goo.gl/jkf5zU
Parody song idea sung to the tune of "Hound Dog".
Tolerated and tax deductible.
TH-X00 was more in tax than Atticus. Italian customs D:
A choice was made today: I picked my retainer over my CIEMs.
Boooo!!! I say choose good tunes, and pick up a British accent...(insert bad Brits have bad teeth joke)
Fuck, it's always August on Head-Fi.
Ashamed to admit I understand neither reference (lucked out Googling "eternal September", but what's up with August?). Have a feeling it's something common-knowledge and I'm gonna facedesk when I find out.
SBAF had a concerted drive last August to reduce the noise level because we were starting to look like HF. No facedesk needed - in joke :).
Ohhh, the thing that led to low-noise month (which lasted all of three days). Right, that went over my head entirely, forgot that was a thing XD
Soundaware D100 is a win. And yet...the allure of a CD-based system remains ever so tempting.
Whenever I listen to music late at night I want to move somewhere it's this quiet all the time.
Is it strange to say I like the Schiit who releases a product before it is announced better than the Schitt that can't deliver on a promise?
Underpromise, overdeliver? Sounds fine to me.
