I hope you can keep reviewing dacs, maybe with just a recommended or not recommended format. All the comparisons to Yggdrasil v1 were cool and all, but now that Yggdrasil v2 is out it seems to have a lot less meaning.

I'll do some here and there. I have a few in mind. Most interesting to me at the moment is the RME ADI-2 Pro vs. ADI-2 DAC ... but this requires actually acquiring the latter unit ...

Yeah, those products look like fun. I actually enjoyed just reading the pdf manual for the ADI-2 DAC.

They're well thought out, very cool and very flexible. The Pro sounds fantastic.

I'd assume the DAC version does as well, but want to do a direct comparison ... as it's possible the DAC outperforms the Pro when you only want a DAC or DAC/amp.

The trick is finding the DAC version in stock (have the Pro AE).

Unfortunately while lots of places have it available to order, only a couple of them are upfront about when it will ship. Either way, the earliest ship date I've seen is the one you quote. And for some reason whenever I place an order that's a week or more out for shipping it never ships by the quoted date :>Z

Warren at ZenPro Audio tells me that they will be able to fulfill orders “around the end of the month”. I’m still debating what to do.

Send me a Yggdrasil Analog 2... or anything else that's pretty good... and I can send you my ADI-2 DAC for a week.

P.S. I totally did ask you for a review of the Pro-Ject.

I must have blocked that request out ... mentally ... ;)

I'll wait on the ADI-2 DAC though - unless it's not as good as the Pro AE, sound-wise, (which I highly doubt), I'll be wanting to keep it.
