I love a lot of his earlier stuff (including the NTT Giant Robot album), but jeez he releases so much stuff it's hard to keep up! Must be intimidating for people new to him.

I wonder if this will have applications for room treatments and speaker cabinets.

It has the same limitations as other acoustic trickery; wanna control lows, it's gonna be huge. It's a passive solution for interrogation rooms, hehe.

I remember putting the KSE1500 in and listening to music, but I have 0 recollection of how it sounds. Cheaper IEMs have left deeper impressions, for better or for worse.

I used to occasionally plug my TV into the hifi. Just headphone-out, which was all that was available then, and IIRC it was mono. But only for occasional stuff like classical music. One house later, the TV wasn't in the same room.

Now, I don't have a TV (or a proper, working hifi, for that mater!).

TV will be used by partner, kids, etc when "Mr or Mrs audiophile" is not around. No way that they'll be able to hook up and use the speakers judging by my own experience.

Many of the world's hifi systems, even those with expensive components, get used by other family members. Young audiophiles these days have mothers and grandmothers who used hifi systems. To many of them, even putting on a record would have been routine.
