I'll be tossing mine on tonight after work, although sadly it isn't nice and sunny here.

We are heading up to Kingston tomorrow, so I'm guessing maybe they will have some snow. We haven't been touched yet, and oddly enough I'm actually missing the cold.

That's getting out my way, about another 1.5 to 2 hours more east. All of our snow has melted this week, it's still fairly cool though, stays right around 0*.

Cold Gungnir Multibit is bad. A very, very bad hombre. (At 24 hours, it's beginning to sound a bit better... Yesterday was crapola with Jot).

I found with cold Yggdrasil it isn't even just that the staging is imprecise - it's precise but incorrect, things pan to actually the wrong place.

When you listen to a cold Gungnir Multibit not knowing it needs to warm up for days, you get real sad thinking you wasted all that money.

Haha. To me, cold Gungnir Multibit sounds like nearly every other DS dac I heard in the past. Dead, non-revealing, mushed up.

Nice. Have you had a chance to give them a listen? I actually got a feel for their sound through YouTube recordings.

Yes I have. This guy likes the Etna. I think the table and Harbeth speakers I heard with it yesterday tend to be warm. And the phono section is a total unknown to me. But imaging and staging was spectacular, and dynamics were there. Listened to the PG Us album, and bass impact on Digging In The Dirt was impressive. Could have sat there listening all night.

Thom Yorke's voice is basically an instrument of its own. Any recommendations for similar sounding vocals? Been on a huge Radiohead kick...

Apart from the already mentioned, try these:

        The Antlers (Familiars, Burst Apart)
        Wild Beasts (Two Dancers, Smother)
Patrick Watson (Love Songs for Robots)
        Bon Iver (Bon Iver)
        Shearwater (Rook, The Golden Archipelago)

And out of the older stuff I know, maybe The Associates and Suede.

How about The Verve? All their albums are very solid from start to finish, real works of art. If you can appreciate Radiohead you can give it a shot.

I don't want to live in fear, and won't. I'm here for all of my friends and will always let them know that I'm glad we're a part of each other's lives. It's the best way to live, regardless of what is going on. I will always stand for humanity, which includes treating others with thoughtful care, and nothing can change that.

I practiced saying Zed Dee Ess for a bit on the ride home. I got pretty good at it, but find it best to drop a D, and just say Ze Dee Ess. ;-)

Mind boggling that the same country obsessed with national security does not make passengers boarding a plane show ID. WTAF America?

When 9/11 happened I was in China. Afterwards in February I flew to Thailand and back and the lack of security flying out of Thailand was kind of horrifying. There were two soldiers standing at a metal detector. It kept going off and they would just wave everyone through. Unsettling to say the least!

Their show was actually really high energy. Massey Hall is a nice venue- old theatre style, seated with double balconies. We were on the floor and everyone was into it. They actually played Walking with a Ghost, Northshore and Living Room, and a bunch of stuff off The Con, so I can't complain. But they've definitely gone full pop mode. Sell outs :P

I'm not a big Lady Gaga fan but I clicked on a few songs because the album showed up in my new releases. I bet track 3 Joanne is one of the analog tracks. Has a nice sound but I find her voice a bit annoying on that one. Probably also track 7 Million Reasons.
