The Saga helps mitigate the Jotunheim's issues. If you don't need the Saga for anything else I wouldn't recommend buying it just to pair with the Jotunheim. I use the Saga for my speakers and additionally I also have my Jotunheim hooked up to it.

My stupid 2xLPcopy was snap crackle pop city :( Will try to get another one eventually. Do you find the mastering pretty flat for a hippity hop album?

Christ on a bike, the US pressings of the Beatles stereo remasters are simply awful. I'm about to throw this White Album in the trash.

The mono vinyl reissues are stellar. No need to pay inflated prices for U.K. originals or early repressings of those. The stereo remasters are pressed terribly though.

Add a rule of thumb: if JB's "Papa's Got A Brand New Bag" does not make you dance on the new audio gear, it is not worth it, even if only costs 10 Dollars. I am not joking by the way...

@Wfojas I give all my records a run down with the In The Groove cleaner before I play them. If I see or hear anything fishy the record comes off and I set it aside for a wash and vacuum. I also clean my stylus before every record.

@Merrick @Wfojas I hadn't heard of the In the Groove. Just read the Analog Planet review (he likes it as well, just not for heavy cleaning). Very good! I'll be ordering one. I keep it simple with really dirty stuff: two big microfiber cloths, one wet and one dry. ITG will be perfect for the pre-spin touchup. And Onzow Zerodust between records is what's up.

I have pretty similar thoughts on them as well. They don't do everything the best for a closed portable but maybe the best all arounder I've heard. I feel certain IEMS can reach another level, but it is nice to have an over ear that isolates well instead sometimes.

Andromeda is very close to a perfect reference but the Vega gave me the same emotional connection that I get with my vinyl. I do hope that Ken Ball keeps on getting the most he can out of dynamic drivers and he doesn't stop with the Vega, Dorado, and Lyra.
