I thought that 15–20 years ago, during my Glenn Gould phase. But the best gear in the universe is worth nothing to me compared with the memories of attending concerts/recitals with the people I love.
Yeah, I was paid to attend the "T in the Park" festival last year- with backstage access and more importantly, access to the proper catering and toilets that aren't available to the punters. I didn't watch half the acts that I could have done (apparently Calvin Harris smashed it, for example)- the highlight for me was probably the Rodrigo and Gabriela set <3
I was an usher. My most memorable concert was The Rolling Stones. Their current album was Sticky Fingers. They sent us all down to provide a human barrier between the audience and the band. I stood center stage and faced the band. :)
