Have you heard the WA234 or the Egoista? I'm guess not because had you, they wouldn't be on the list. The Studio and Stellaris are actually quite different so preference should be able to guide you there. And the WA33? It's a Woo so... See WA234.
honestly the wa33 was actually pretty nice when i heard it at a meet with utopia. big improvement over all other woo amps i've heard. whether it's worth the 8 or 10k they're charging for it is another question entirely. it's def true that those amps are all pretty different from each other so like ymmv
I've heard the WA234 and the Egoista. I've not heard the Stellaris or the WA33.
The idea here was WA234 for the flexibility. The Egoista for something completely different. The Studio + Stellaris option was a *combination* not either/or.
I have no special issue with Woo, beyond value. My primary headphone amp is a loaded WA5-LE Mk2 and un-obtanium tubes right now.
What I read is Studio is on the leaner side while Stellaris is a bit more tooby, so might be a good combo. Folks here don't seem to love the WA234. Or hey you could get a Silver Stellaris if you are patient enough... you lucky bugger ;)
Ordered WA33 Elite, WA234, can get an Egoista via a friend, looking for a used Studio, and will have to pass on the Stellaris as the lead time is way too long to be included in a back-to-back audition.
Should have units about the time I am settled from my travels ... around the end of the year.
