Massdrop discussion pages, home of the GUTB

There’s a good number of people that finished reading NWAVGuy and think they know everything. Like “tubes = eq box” to “how is this better than an O2?”

MD S/N ratio 1/1000: "Has anyone compared these $17.00 Chinese IEMs to HD800s?" Etc.

I would like to add Massdrop customer service and shipping practices to the “NEEDS A MAJOR OVERHAUL” list.

Now some guy is telling me that only THD matters and therefore anything Class A is a waste of power.

Why do I waste energy with this?

I’ve already checked out but this one guy is now saying “I have a Class A amp that I think sounds better but I know isn’t actually better”

What if there was someone worse than NWAVGuy? A person who posts reviews everywhere and makes it as a moderator on a forum that used to be very fun. RG was a fun place until that guy came along...

Looking at the comments for the Plus IEMs, I don’t think the average Massdrop user understands that the people at Massdrop are mostly enthusiasts / engineers / audiophiles and know what they’re doing. They aren’t just “organizing group buys.”

Looking at the comments for the Plus, I can gather the following:
- too much $
- meelectronics secretly did it
- buy monoprice instead
- ugliest IEMs ever
