Sorry to hear. We had waves and waves of people walking through neighborhoods at night looking for unlocked cars to to clear out. I was amazed to hear what was taken from neighbors....

Not sure how it happened. I'm 99.9% certain it was locked and it has an alarm. No broken windows, slim Jim may have been used but not sure how they would have turned off the alarm. Still waiting for police to come.

    Sorry, @DigMe.

Happened to me several times in London. Worst time was having a window smashed when there absolutely nothing of any value in the car anyway. Seemed so pointless.

They used a slim Jim to enter. You can see a perfect outline of it along the dust on the window. The officer just came and couldn't find any good prints. Total loss of miscellany is not insignificant but it's all just stuff. No one was hurt and the car was undamaged so that was good.

Isn't it ridiculous that today's high-tech electronic security can be bypassed as easily as yesterday's plain, simple key. And, what's more, with the same tools!

Sorry to hear that. A long time ago we went out with a group of friends and being young and stupid, left a lot of stuff visible in the car. Came back in the morning to find glass everywhere and everything gone. Felt so violated.
