The open, right? I listened to both at a show and open is much better to me. They are expensive, though. I would consider investing in better upstream gear first. I would implore you though not to use school loan money for audio gear ;)

I apologize, I was answering based off of your profile. Oh yeah, I forgot that you lent out your Valhalla 2 to Z reviews. Did you clean it off after that? ;) I guess as a student closed headphones are a smart idea.
