    @Mikoss - i definitely feel its inversed in person. I auditioned a turntable once and the guy looked annoyed the entire time. Whenever I've tried out headphones they never made me feel unwelcome, no matter how expensive the gear was.

    Cheaper upfront + smaller range of costs -> more accessible -> crossover from younger gaming/PC enthusiast circles -> lower maturity level + internet culture that values controversy over substance -> lots of dickish behavior.

    Just try telling an audiophool,especially a wealthy one, that he is talking crap. Not only will he kick you in the balls, but all the young wannabe-wealthy-phools that hang on his every word will apply their boots to your head.
