After a room re-org my Ragnarok is now ~10 feet from my listening position so I contacted the guys at proaudiola to build me a balanced extension cable. Nothing fancy, Canare L-4E6S with Neutrik NC4[MF]XX-B ends.

I did a google search but wiring and soldering really aren't my thing..

Can someone confirm that the standard pinout for 4-pin balanced headphone is:

    Pin 1 = L +
    Pin 2 = L-
    Pin 3 = R+
    Pin 4 = R-

Don't want to have them accidentally wire it up wrong.

Looks good to me. Have been wiring up my cables that way for years and nothing has blown up yet... But here is another resource just in case:

That is correct for the pin-out, or the standard at least so I expect the Rag to have that. The Neutrik plugs are numbered accordingly as well for construction, and very good quality so it should make for a nice cable!

I am in same boat and need a 4-pin XLR extension cord for my Liquid Carbon. Should I have something custom made, or should I be able to just order this:

    Thanks.

BTW, the proaudiola guys have unfortunately not gotten back to me; I'm speculating that it's not worth their time to order in parts to make a one off $40 cable which is fair enough. (though they could email and tell me that ;))

Anyhow, I found this on eBay which will work. Going to order one myself:

I'm not familiar with Van Damme cable but they seem to be well established in Europe/UK and the published electrical specs are good.

Thanks for both responses. Much appreciated.
