A small and kinda weird request

Hi Marv!

Been reading your train of thoughts on different audio related things. Me (and I assume others) are enjoying them immensely.
This is kinda a weird request, but can you write your thoughts on the EC amps?

I know I know. It would be you promoting your own stuff and blablabla don't want to sellout/look bad to other forums.
I understand all that. But why don't do a major diclaimer at the start, so that people know that you only want to talk about sound stuff. And maybe don't say stuff like "I hate other stuff compared to EC stuff".

I think most of the people here understand that you don't want to oversell the EC stuff, but still want to hear your thoughts about the sound of these amp. You can even keep it all in this EC-forum and say that "NOBODY TAKE STUFF SERIOUS OR EVEN READ THIS SHIT"-disclaimer.

Bottom line, bias or not, I want to read your impression and thoughts on the EC amps.

EDIT: Heck. Give me your most biased review ever.

 

I'm sure some of his thoughts can be found on changstar. Also he constantly compares everything else to the EC house sound. Just take some time, put in the effort, and do the searching.

 

Well, I have been 3-4 hours on changstar trying to read up on the BW. And I still can't find anything Marv said on the amp. It might be my searching ability that is failing me. So I'll gladly take some links if you have them!

 

Also I he may be the only one that have heard the difference between BW1 and BW2. If there any of course..

 

He made a post in March stating he won't be making comments on amplifiers anymore due to his position at EC. BW was an EC amp released after this date. Most other EC amps (other than Studio...?) have been reviewed by Marv on changstar prior to being hired at EC.

Aside from subtle comments about the sound of amplifiers, I don't think you can expect much more. Especially concerning EC.
