A Tidal surprise

    I'm more annoyed that Roon doesn't just use Tidal's search function... And I didn't think I'd ever want anything to use Tidal's search function. Roon is the only service I've seen where if you search a song name it probably won't even show up... "Wish You Were Here" doesn't even have Pink Floyd in the results page... That's such an easy search too.

    As per your comment on Tidal, I have found that the most recent mobile UI overhaul is pretty nice. The main thing I'm missing is having artists organized in alphabetical order instead of... idek the order you added them I think?

    Nice. In that case, does this justify not using Tidal's own apps, or is there an advantage to using their own software vs. a foobar setup as you describe?

    I am using jRiver because of VST plugins: EQ, Sonarworks True-Fi etc, and better control of audio outputs. On mobile I use Tidal. Another rason to use Tidal would be the Tidal MQA decoder if you care about MQA.
    EDIT: True Fi is not Jriver plugin, probably it can used with any player, including Tidal
