About the output Z

    Yesterday I found Marv mentioned how many output Z of an amp could suit the HD800.

    My question is: as we all know the power of an amp is the first concern (at least to me is), then maybe the output Z is as important as the power?

    As for HD6x0, if we already drive them with enough power (someone said, the more power the better), how could we know how many output Z could be best for them? And there're so many cans out here, an amp for all is Mission Impossible (the poor O2...)

    I'm afraid this question is too complicated...

    You should go to innerfidelity and check out Tyll's headphone measurements. Included will be a graph of how output impedance can affect the frequency response for that particular headphone.
