Ad Rant

Since there doesn't seem to be a site feedback area/topic, I'm complaining here. I tried to use SBAF with Safari on iOS and it was a nightmare. Looks like the ads on this site like to hijack my browser. Whenever I try to browse this site with Safari on iOS, I get to do that for a few moments but it seems 100% of the time some ad kicks in and it redirects my browser to site XYZ and then hijacks my back button, so I cannot go back. I can click back as fast as I can, but it always redirects me to some ad site. Pretty offensive, IMHO.

I disabled ad-blocker for SBAF and I now regret that. Does SBAF have any control over how f'd up advertisers they use?

Then there's the constant websocket grinding done by ads, I think. There's always something being transferred, even if a page has been fully loaded. Once again, some over-zealous ad-tech has kicked in.

I'm going to enable ad-block again on this site. Sorry, not blaming SBAF, these ad-tech companies are going full retard.

I should donate instead? That said, this ad situation is horrible, doesn't SBAF have any control of this ad BS?

I'm new and have a similar problem in Chrome on PC. Pages will barely load while waiting for an ad server. Normally I whitelist any forums I actually have an account in, but in this case it makes the site unusable. I haven't tried another browser but I'm sure it makes a difference.
