Hello my friends! How has everyone been? I'm wanting to start getting the word around and things together for an audio meet for either quarter 4 of 2017 or quarter 1 of 2018. The location will be at the Concord Fire Department, Fire Station 9 Community Room. All information about the location is in the link provided. I've been there a couple times and it's a rather large room with a reasonable amount of outlets and PLENTY of tables, chairs and parking.

I'm also going to be trying my best to see if I can get a couple vendors/reps./MOT's to attend but will GLADLY accept any help from you in reaching out. During Carolina CanFest 5, we had two very nice gentlemen who represented Bryston Audio and Master Dynamic and then iFi respectably and it was an incredible experience both talking with them and learning about their products.

Current available times are (and this is subject to change, reservations may even already be in place but I can find out more once enough interest has been shown).
    Date/Time slots will either be 10AM- 2PM OR 12PM-4PM
    OCT: 8, 21, 29
    NOV: 11, 19, 25, 26
    DEC: 10, 16, 17, 31
    JAN: 6, 7, 13, 27, 28
    FEB: 3, 17, 18, 24
    MAR: 4, 10, 11 (MY BIRTHDAY!!!), 17, 25

This is where I'll be taking input from you, the community, about what time works out best for the most amount of people. So please say which of the above dates will work best for you.

For lunch, there's a couple restaurants nearby but I'll also order in/pick up some pizza (donations are again appreciated but not required).

    Those wishing to attend!!!
Please let me know via commenting on here or PM the following:

    1.)Where you're located (city/state)
2.)What gear you are bringing (if any)

I'll post who is located where so we can get a decent idea where everyone is so people can potentially car pool etc...

*If you're unable to bring any gear, for whatever reason, that is ABSOLUTELY fine and ok! So long as you come with an awesome attitude, sense of humor and an excitement to meet the rest of us audio geeks, that's all we (or at least myself) want. OH but you can bring cookies. Everyone likes cookies!!!

    *Vendores, M.O.T. etc...
*IF you are a manufacture, representative, or member of the trade and would like to have your products featured at this meet, please contact me via PM for details, specifications, as well as what your requirements are (i.e. table space etc...). We are extremely grateful for all interest shown in our event from vendors and want to ensure you and your products are given due notice.

Some quick guidelines (in addition to the ones that MUST be followed per City of Concord [also in the above link])
-If you are wanting a tour of the station, fire apparatus, etc... please get with me so that I can notify on duty staff.
-The kitchen use is included with the community room so you're more than welcome to use it BUT any messes MUST BE CLEANED
-Please show respect to all personnel, especially if on duty, and listen to any instruction given.

    Prices, Customs & Courtesies:
The cost to attend this meet is FREE!!!!! If you could donate anything to the cost of the room or food it would be greatly appreciated but is by no means required, I can't stress that enough.
Please be respectful towards ALL attending members AND their equipment, there will be a 'you break it, you buy it rule' but I'm sure this will not be an issue for we're dealing with adults here.
When demoing a piece of equipment please see either the owner or their instruction left at each item on how to safely and correctly operate their gear as to not damage quite sensitive material, i.e. you should turn the volume knob down before and after you're finished while not blasting it out while you're listening.
Be mindful of those around you. Keep voices low when talking as to minimize noises heard by listeners. Wait your turn but also DO NOT be selfish with a piece of equipment.
For those bringing guests, please be sure they mind the rules listed above and don't mock or gock at the prices some items will have. I'm sure most of us have had that moment where people can't fathom spending X dollars of gear and love inserting their 2 cents about how they feel it unnecessary and/or wasteful and no one wants to sit threw that.
Lastly, PLEASE, bring source material. I.e. Laptops DAP's etc... I foresee this making things quite difficult especially when trying out dacs. So if you've a computer or applicable media you can bring PLEASE do so.

For those who're considering selling their gear.
Selling of ones personal gear is allowed SO LONG AS it does NOT deffer from the intention of the meet. List of prices and equipment sold can be either discussed via PM, ads. on ones account, personally via face to face, or via small card at the meet. Do NOT post what you're selling, nor prices, on the thread. This is a meet designed to put faces to names and listen to gear that's otherwise unlikely to have ever been heard; not an auction house, due bare this in mind please.

My goal is to make this meet big enough to call it Carolina CanFest 6, and with your help, I'm confident we can accomplish this goal!!!

If you're unfortunately unable to attend, please share this post on your social media so that we can have as great a turnout as possible

My bad brother, I never got a single notification from this site of your comment. I'll update the list when I get off shift in a few hours. Excited to have you!

Is there any gear you're available to bring? And what dates would work best for you?

Reuping this post since the meet is less than a month away and A LOT has changed. Schiit's coming as well as some other heavy hitting companies. Free catered food, product giveaway's!!!! There's a lot to be had here.

If someone could educate me if it's possible (and if so how) to edit posts made on here. I would really like to update the information and attendees list. But the link in my last post will show everything as well.
