Alright, getting close to time to start packing up and heading out.

If anyone would like to use either of my two sources in their systems then feel free. I am not bringing a computer to run them or any external amp. I'll basically just have the two DACs and some headphones.

I'll be bringing a MacBook Pro so we can setup another station with a USB cable.

Thanks again DrFindley for opening up your house to everyone. Won't say much because honestly there isn't much to say except this.

    - Bill P is an amazing DIYer doing amazing things to attain the perfect sound.
    - DrFindley making me really interested in vinyl and having such great gear and setup (super jealous).
    - TMoney is totally down with crack (with speedball of course) also for saving me a few dollars with some great advice (everyone helped as well of course)
    - CeeTee for bringing over the Bifrost Multibit and telling it like it is
    - Recarcar for being an awesome navigator and travel buddy :)
    - Knernian though I didn't get to listen to the modded Abyss (YOU BETTER NOT SELL THEM BEFORE I LISTEN TO THEM)

Sorry I didn't take any but DrFindley has a few :(

Had different results between the Gungnir Multibit and Yggdrasil. Yggdrasil won this time. However, though the Bifrost Multibit sounded good I felt that the sound stage was a little too close together for me, detail retrieval wasn't as accurate, and the bass wasn't as tight and punchy as the Yggdrasil or Gungnir Multibit. But for $599 you really can't beat that sound value. This was only my first impressions and we did through DrFindley's desktop speakers so that might be a little biased as many people probably wanted impressions with headphones (we used SACD/CD rips as well as actual vinyl).

I did think that the Yggdrasil was superior and could hear the difference in what I listened to (both actual vinyl and cd/sacd rips) I would say T-Money would do the best job describing the differences being a more detailed veteran and also understanding the price for performance values more.

Oh I busted my Eddie Current cherry ears and listened to the Black Widow (amp with external PSU) and it also sounded great.

I am really looking forward to when I can listen to the rest of the line.

Drfindley, thanks for being such a gracious host! I had to cut out early and missed the mini dac-off and hearing Adam's vinyl setup, but that's probably a good thing.

It was great to see everyone, ended up just talking most of the time and barely even got time to listen to anything, but that's what make meets fun. I hope we can all get together for a December meet, lets start planning that soon.

Yeah, thanks for Adam for being such a great host!

I had a blast today, and I got to hear some cool new gears that I have never checked out before.

Will post impressions tomorrow morning when I'm less sleepy. Hehe
