I'm not a shill, and just because we have different tastes doesn't mean you need to be rude or condescending about it. But hey, to each their own. I've made it pretty clear that I was not and have not been compensated by Beyerdynamic in any way. I've gotten plenty of feedback from people that read my listening impressions that felt the same way as I did. Perhaps the Amiron just has better synergy with my setup than yours or whomever you're trusting their review of. As a hi-fi enthusiast, I'm sure you're more than aware that how people hear things is very personal and obviously subjective. I really like the Amiron and I stand behind that comment.

For those that keep trying to compare it to the HD650, instead of looking at charts try listening to them side by side.

Pretty sure @Marvey did just that. He confirmed what I suspected, which was that the supposedly "hollow" sound of the HD 650 was due to a dip in the upper mids of the Amiron. Which is actually something I kind of like about the Beyer sound, at least when not overdone.

Pay no mind to @Kattefjaes. He's been getting a bit too big for his britches lately.

Not a whole lot of Beyer love here....

Well, I have had the t1's r2's, T90's and dt1350's for several years..the t1r2'sof course only for a year or so.

Went thru many headphones, Audeze, AudioTechnica, Grados, Senns and others assorted stuff...instead of depending on what others have said about them good or bad I sold all but the Beyers, kept the ATH M50's with new pads.

I have 11+ headamps, majority are DIY, I have posted on headfi and audiocircle and DIY the build and sound comparisons I have done with my stuff in my home with my gear....

BH Crack modded, BH Mainline, Schitt Vahalla 2, Bifrost Multibit MB, O2's, AGDR designs using the recent TI "audio" faced op amps.
Inverting and non inverting amps, battery powered stuff etc...

Lots of fun to actually study the circuit, draw loadlines, and hear or listen to gear and form your own opinions.

One thing that "clouds" my perception unfortunately is "my" retirement budget!!
