    No worries at all. I assumed the BWv2 still won't be able to power ultra high sensitivity speakers? Just taking a long hard look at my setup.

    I'd probably go Rag or even Mjolnir 2 (make XLR to speaker adapter) if you wanted to power speakers.

    No its just for headphones, I was just thinking of getting some new smallish desktop speakers for christmas and was debating active vs. passive options. Happy to wait for the Widow.

    Is there an XLR to speaker adapter available commercially that would work for using the mjolnir as an integrated for speakers? Is this done using the pre-amp outs?

    Hey Marv now that the PSU is in the same chassis any chance of the cool flickie power switch from the EC power supplies being on the front. I love those switches they are so tactile.

    The BW is still being made. We are just slow and also BW uses some special OOP transistors which give it that organic bloomy sound. In the meantime, we have a companion amp to the BW that we are calling the Copperhead. More clarity and detail, but less organic sound at a slightly lower price (shooting for $1k). Both have EC house sound (engaging, lively, non solid-state treble, etc.) Q1 is the target. I'll send them out to you once we decide on a chassis (probably going single chassis). I see the BW good for HD800 and the CH good for Audezes or HD650.

    rats I never did write up anything short and sweet about this before huh?
    since BW is at home with HD800 and Mjo2 (LISST and tubes) is at work with HE1K.

    never had these 2 amps side by side, and certainly didn't have LISST in Mjo2 for long, since good NOS tubes deliver a better spacial presentation with HE1K.

    if I had to choose only one amp, it would be the BW. (for either HD800 or HE1K)
    great power, clarity, sound stage and some tube sound aspects without the expense of NOS tube rolling.
    actually love the 2 chassis BW (external power) form factor.

    Yep, posted the same question on HF. Got a comparison that favored the BW a lot over the Gungnir Multibit. Scratch that, Mjolnir 2 Lisst. :oops:
