I'm psyched to be here, as the amount of teenage-like drama I've witnessed in the personal audio community lately (won't share names, sorry, but just blowin' here...) coupled with the way HF has treated me recently, just makes me shake my head.

I got put on "house arrest" (all my posts are sent to moderation - and only recently have they been showing up a couple days after posting) without a single word about what R&R I fractured - what forum decorum I stepped on - NOTHIN' about any infraction directly - I had to hear about it from a good friend... And I think I've done alot to help promote that community, as there are a ton of good peeps there I really like. But, if I actually shared why I was put under this supposed house arrest, considering the accusation and the company it involves - almost ALL of you here would fall over, believe me!

BUT - still psyched for CanJam SoCal!

I was hoping they were gonna have a member rig space again too. They put one of my rigs in the program last year - but unfortunately w/ my divorce coming down I couldn't make it happen - but I wanted to being Harry Pearsons vintage Stax rig for people to hear! We lost Harry last year - on my damn birthday...

Though it might be cool for some of the crabby audiophiles to hear how one of their Founding Fathers rocked 3 headphone listening systems the whole time I knew him.

 

You guys going both days? I don't think there's that much I want to hear for even one day

Hahahaha........you guys are hilarious!!! Hifiman girls are too cute, I always feel awkward sticking around for more than 5 seconds. Finally our kind of babe is going to manage best booth at the show and Tyll isn't coming, shame on you man .

Going both days, with the small blonde one (wife.. not cat as someone said). She commented how everyone at the last SBAF meet was awesome and looks forward to seeing everyone again. I'll be wearing my wax trax t-shirt.

Looks like I maybe helping by hosting some auditions of an up-coming Cavalli product in my room - TBD!!

But I'm lookin' forward to this year. Last year my divorce had just come down - I was in BAD shape (and some may remember) but this year I'll be there kickin' it - covering the show for HiFi+ - and, hopefully my new girl can make it - she's crazy into headphone audio! I don't know how we found each other - She's a total anomaly: Smart, funny, HOT as hell, and mad into personal audio. Actually met through my writing - I still think she's a plant by the NSA...

And Tyll - you'd love to see her boobs - but you're not gonna be there!
JK - I'm too old school Brooklyn to let my girl show others the goods.

I'll be there both days if they have a member area (right now it looks like there will be one), but likely 0 days if not.

Either that or I'd have to go as a vendor selling Orpheus clones.

 

I'm looking forward to hanging out with some SBAF people. I haven't met any in person yet. I have a few things I want to hear but most of why I'm there will be for socialization.

 

Saturday, if I care to show. Otherwise someone text me about dinner and I'll head on out.

 

I'll be there both days, pimping my software at my booth. Come by and say hi.
I'll be there Friday night, if anyone wants to hang out or do some listening.

 

Thanks for sharing this - takin' the time to share about others dealing with that - which is the opposite of what I believe Head-Fi stands for.
