Sorry everyone I'm back from a little break. Id love to vote but cannot seem to. Closed?
Hi all, am in (presently) sunny Melbourne.
I've voted, and would be great to see how this pans out.
Thanks for getting the ball rolling
Voting seems to be fine...
Sorry, late to the party, been flat out with work and the relocation preparations from NSW to WA.
I'm keen to hear the Fulla 2 and to get the first FRANZ loaner up and running.
Late to the party as well but wouldn't mind hopping on the loaner programs too Fulla 2 sounds like the most logical starting point for the first loaner, cheap and a fresh product with a lot of buzz around it. Out of the list I would have to say Jotunheim is what I'm most interested, only coz I have a modded HD650 at my disposable
Wishing everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Be safe on the roads at this time of year, so we can enjoy another year of listening to good music over good gear!
Happy 2017 to all audio friends in Australia! Apologies if this is not the right thread, but based on a quick search I figured this is my best shot of finding someone with knowledge of audio retail in Melbourne.
Would anyone know if there is a shop in Melbourne where I could pick up an Oppo HA-2SE? I'm stopping here for a few days before heading to GBR and would love to grab one.
Happy new year all!
Marv has agreed to put up some money to get our loaner program going. We will have Fulla 2 and Modi MB. I am considering sending my Jotunheiem around later on the year as well. Follow these links to express interest in Fulla 2 and Modi MB.
@MrButchi might be able to organise a FRANZ tour of Lime Ears Aether, if there is enough interest...
I am happy to bear all costs of shipping it to ANZ for the tour.
Not sure if you'd allow a Rando who just joined recently in on a loaner, so not voting for now. But looking forward if there are any meetups, as I'd like to try some headphones. Stores like Minidisc and A2A are pretty good, but I feel somewhat guilty for trying and not buying.
Yeh don't feel bad. Just be polite and respectful, be honest about your budget and a2a will never turn you away.
I spent maybe 10 hours in the store before spending a dime.
Ash and the crew are lovely..
@jowls Sorry, n00b question as I've never been involved in a loaner program yet- how does a CIEM go on loan? How does that work as I'm assuming that it is shaped for someone's ear canals?
Often companies make universal shells for the purposes of demo/loaner units.
Right, thanks for clarifying.
