Free CD's - friends only

FYI - I'm mailing all requests out Monday so if anyone else wants anything let me know by sunday night because I'll be going out of town for a bit soon after.

Also, I think I mentioned this earlier but for many of you I have included extra CD's from my books that have no cases if I thought there was something you might like based on your selections. How many I included just all depends on whether or not I found any CD's that were inspired by your selections. That part was fun for me so let me know if you like what I included for you or if you are wondering why i chose a specific extra.

Gotta say, I wasn't liking most of the King Crimson I got, but the Live at Summit Studios disc, that one is good. Really good. The track Groon is really nice, funky sax, and combo of other stuff. I guess I don't like the more new stuff.

 

@spwath - I prefer the older King Crimson. Have you tried 'Red'? That was a favorite of mine. I listened to it for the first time in a long time, and I remember why, now.

Though Red woulden't have Greg Lake, who I am a fan of...

 

I really like Greg Lake's voice with King Crimson. John Wetton sings on this one, IIRC. You might want to try it out on youtube or something and see what you think.

Yeah, Groon is a classic. You might like their brand new album - Radical Action to Unseat the Hold of Monkey Mind. It's a different lineup from the 80's and 90's stuff and this album has them doing a lot of the 60's/70's stuff and it is fantastic. The current vocalist really nails it. There is some new stuff too. Stream it from your steaming service of choice.

Also, I'll check to see what older albums I have that I can send you. They're all in an album without cases but ... free.

Did you have anything else similar to Trilok Gurtu, it's very word music/Jazzy if not what are some bands you'd recommend. I am again VERY impressed with that find from you! May I ask how you stumbled across his music as well?
