I'll show up to meet you guys on Saturday if a bunch of you are going.

I've realized that meets are pretty useless for critical evaluations after 2 Canjams :D

Ah I've got the kids that weekend so probably won't be able to make it. I'll hopefully be up for a repeat of the show we went to later in the year..."Indulgence" [puke], which I think this Headroom thing attaches itself to as well.

Come to the UK meet, we'll have a quiet room available off the main hall :)

I'll try my best to make it to MK! A separate room for listening is a great idea.

I'll try to coordinate business trips around those dates and will potentially be there on the Friday.

That would be me. I'm disinclined to pay to be bombarded with marketing. I may reconsider, if it becomes free...

Just got back from Headroom some impressions.

    Akg K872
Was being driven by the Goldmond hda, gave off a precise soundstage which was slightly wider than being holographic being able to tell where each instrument were. Bass was detailed with some added slam to it. Treble is the bad news, because i have no experience with the akg k872 or the Goldmond cannot tell who is at fault or both are. The treble came off as being non smooth, harsh & tizzy.

    Akg K712
Being driven by the Moon audio 430ha treble was so much better, soundstage was holographic to me while still being wide. lacked a bit of transparecy compared to the k872.

    Fostex TH610
Driven by Questyle cma 800r. Not sure how many hours were put into these because i read on sbaf th610 thread someone said they had sibilance, really did not noticed any. Bass came slamming down when the song called for it, bass would also extend deep, Male vocals kind of sounded a bit recessed to me while female vocals sounded a bit blended into the music. Treble found it to be smooth did not bother me. Soundstage was bigger than my 650 & less than the th900.

    Hifiman Edition x v2
Being ran out one of hifiman dap can't remember which one, it's soundstage was less bigger than the hd800s, it's timbre was natural, mids sounded forward to me, a very forgiving headphone.

    Sennheiser hd 800s
Being ran out a hugo 2 one of the things i noticed was vocals were very pin point at the centre, had the biggest sound stage i heard along with the clarity, Timbre was very natural.
