So, even if it isn't too stinky, it still has a hand up it's arse?

While I'm not familiar with devices like these being marketed to audiophiles, the Schumann resonance is worth looking into:
Anecdotally, I've seen these Total Shield products used in a wellness center where my wife used to work and use one in my apartment. (manual) While I haven't noticed any night and day personally, we noticed a marked difference in the behavior (relaxation, etc.) of our adopted cat (abused by previous owners) after hooking the Total Shield up. If you want to try a product like this out, I (1) would not expect sound quality benefits and (2) would not buy one from an audio equipment manufacturer.

If these things just generate "the Earth's natural field", why do you need them? Why not just rely on that natural field?

    Just playing devil's advocate.

Let's assume that said field is actually beneficial. If it's naturally occurring anyway, why do I need to buy a device to get it's benefit?

I may, or may not, be being deliberately obtuse to make a point.

One time I was in a loud coffee shop and had some stomach cramps. I figured the music was loud enough, so I could let her rip. I even made a point to fart in unison with the beat to further avoid being noticed. After a few minutes I was feeling better, but looked around and noticed everyone was staring at me. Then I remembered, I was actually listening to my iPod.

Sometimes, you just get confused and things are not what they seem. It happens to the best of us. The other possibility is that you're a shill.

Don't buy this Clones thing. Is that enough? Sorry, I'm not a shill, so I don't know how to convince you to buy anything.

Also sorry you sharted yourself in public. Sounds embarrassing, but hard to believe.

You appear to have just done the internet equivalent of that. Likewise.

7.83Hz, eh? (Edit: removed that unwanted "K" )

Hang on, I have to plug in my super-subwoofer for this. Doggie Doggie Doggie! Good doggie, Stick you tail in the air... this won't hurt...

    Anal? Neutrik-compatible anal.

    And...

Excuse me, I need to take a shart...

I rather spend $ on a cheaper bottle of deoxit gold which imo does more magic/$ spent.

I'm no scientist and won't even pretend to understand enough to explain sufficiently. What little I can offer after looking at the manual is that devices that emit varying degrees of man-made electromagnetic waves (devices, power lines and stations, cell towers, wi-fi, etc.) conflict with how we typically experience the naturally occurring resonances in the earth's electromagnetic field because we are constantly exposed to such man-made waves.

The Total Shield appears to operate in some ways as active noise cancelling for those waves, while also attempting to "dilute the negative fields by flooding an area with the earth's natural resonance, 7.83Hz." See manual pp.2-3 (discussing magnetic and electric fields and harmful effects of certain radiation), p.4 ("[T]he Total Shield acts as a smoothing choke when the function switch is in the GW position. An internal network detects the magnetic and electric field fluctuations. The waves are reversed by 180 degrees and the changes are rebroadcast; the field changes now oppose each other and are nullified. (You can think of this as analogous to a noise-canceling device.)"); see also What Are Safe Levels of Electromagnetic Radiation?.

7.83Hz. "Schumann resonances are the principal background in the electromagnetic spectrum beginning at 3 Hz and extending to 60 Hz, and appear as distinct peaks at extremely low frequencies (ELF) around 7.83 (fundamental),14.3, 20.8, 27.3 and 33.8 Hz." (Wikipedia)

Damn that slipped in "K!" Sure... thanks, I wouldn't need the doggie speaker if it was Khz!
