Foreword: A friend sent me these for free to try out and measure. Kinera is a relatively new Chinese IEM-centered company and their H3 is a 2BA + 1DD hybrid IEM at the $100 price point.

    Analysis
    • Channel matching is pretty much amazing especially for the price (and country of origin). This is literally the only praise I will give this product.
    • Impulse looks bad. I don't know why still. But those large fluctuations (that increase in amplitude for 2 cycles) doesn't seem optimal.
    • The phase issues (bass/mid crossover) is painfully obvious on subjective listening and is pretty much confirmed on CSD plots. Midrange timbre is completely off.
    • THD looks normal for a hybrid. You get that D3 bump in the midrange that's kind of expected.
    • Reactive with impedance but not as much as a BA setup.
    • Overall, horrible. It's not even preference at this point. The FiiO F9 is better in every regard.

Impulse looks bad because CSD looks bad. Okay, it's more the other way round, but basically the impulse doesn't show anything the CSD doesn't already show. And CSDs are much easier to read.

    Thanks for your measurement!
