They sure look like modified Denons.

Not surprising since both are made by Fostex.

However, I have a feeling that these will sound better than most Fostex offerings because they are being tuned with community feedback.

    Hello,

Nice to meet you, I am Steve from Klipsch. Some of you have asked me to join this forum, so here I am!

We are progressing on the new Heritage line and I plan to add some pics and answer questions.

It was kinda funny to read that some of you didn't think I actually worked at Klipsch :)

You need to sign up image hosting sites such as imgur.com It's free.

After you upload images to your account at image hosting sites and get URL addresses, you can put them by clicking that 'image' button (which is located right next to smilies button) then you will see where you can paste URL address.

500~1000 Dollar range really needs some serious offerings these days. I will look forward to listen to your company's headphones.

Mhm imgur is the easiest site to use, sign up then it's drag and drop from your Browser. Imgur will generate a link that you can use here!

I'm also looking forward to hearing these when their ready :3 more competition is always welcome. Especially at that $1000 mark,

Wow, these are really coming together. They look awesome. It would be awesome if you could bring a prototype to the SBAF meet on July 15. Not likely I'm sure but the community would love to hear them. A loaner tour for a prototype would probably the best way to gather impressions quickly if you were looking to fine tune the design.

Would you consider these to be fully open or semi-open? The Fostex drivers have mostly been used for closed headphones so I'm curious to see how they will do in an open design.

Wow, these look really nice. I wasn't even aware. Bio drivers? Fostex? Reasonable pricing. Very much looking forward to this.

Hey Steve ... is it true that you were involved in the design of the old Denon woodies? I seem to remember reading that somewhere.

Anyways, I encourage you to seek out prototype feedback from some of our established reviewers. The tuning really needs to be spot on. Just look at all the controversy surrounding the Sony Z1R measurements. I have to imagine that more feedback would have resulted in a better headphone in that case.

$1K is still a lot of money for many of us. You have the looks down, these are some seriously sexy looking headphones. Foster produces high quality gear so I'm sure the build quality will match the price but the tuning is the thing that should get the most attention. Look at how Massdrop is able to mass produce better versions of existing products through tweaking. BTW, if you really want to make a dent in the hifi headphone market, you should seriously talk to the Massdrop guys about a collaboration. Foster already has a good relationship with them. I'd hate to see the wood go but a plastic housed version for half the price would sell like hot cakes if the comfort and FR is well received. Just food for thought.

We plan to get them in the hands of forum members and reviewers before mass production. Really not at all interested in watering these down to plastic components. When we sat in a room for the concept stage, our goal was no visible plastic and nothing the consumer touches would be plastic (except of course behind the ear pad). I believe we succeeded in creating a HP where there is no visible plastic.

We will still be making two other versions at lower price points, a 40mm semi open at around $599-699 and a 40mm closed back that will also be available in BT ANC ($399 and $499 target retail). All of these will still have no visible plastic.

We are looking to attend RMAF and Can Jams globally.

Steve, any estimates on how long it will be before these come to market?
