    Here's a true gem: http://www.head-fi.org/t/605438/sennheiser-ie800-iems/5340#post_12699923

I'd say peaks and resonances in the treble are what cause treble fatigue, not extension. The UERR has good treble extension, but is non-fatiguing thanks to the way the treble isn't boosted, for example.

When I switch from an iem like the andromeda to the ie800, the ie800 feels a lot less fatiguing. It's like a relief to my ears. That's not saying it's better, per se, just that there is a lot less treble fatigue going on. I actually like the andromeda a lot and am looking forward to what Campfire audio brings out next.

Now, I gotta say that someone's got pretty fucked ears or they've got a fairly interesting hidden agenda. "When I switch from an iem like the andromeda to the ie800, the ie800 feels a lot less fatiguing. It's like a relief to my ears. "That's not saying it's better, per se, just that there is a lot less treble fatigue going on." — Priceless.

Just so everyone's clear, I made that post music bird is quoting (in the ie800 wank thread). He's lost his mind again and anyone who doesn't love his earphone of the moment is an enemy or some crazy shit. The allegation of a hidden agenda is one he trotted out when I liked the k3003, but not sufficiently enough for him. At that time he posted how people had some sort of axe to grind against AKG/Harmon or whatever. I guess campfire has a conspiracy against it now. What the f**k that is some nutcase shit.

And no, my ears aren't fucked, EVIL SPARROW FURRY, you coward. I was wondering when you'd go crackers again.

The ie800 has a dip or something where both the Jupiter and Andro have a peak, perhaps. The ie800's peaks don't cause the same fatigue. That doesn't mean I don't like the andro a lot, but I'm going to keep describing what I hear.

Will do, my ie800 has the tips glued on with a touch of superglue because they came off in my ears once and I was like, "never again!". I'll send them along in a few days. Also, the jvc850 could come along.

P.S. Don't forget the anti-Campfire Audio conspiracy meeting for people who enjoyed the Jupiter and Andromeda

Kunlun, feel free to discredit me as much as you like, call me crazy, unstable and so on if you so wish to, but can you please edit your post and not use my real name in a public forum? This is not the first time you resort to this. As much as I like my name, I'm not too comfortable about it being known to everyone.

(Mods — feel free to edit/delete this post)

No deal. PM me with an apology and agree to behave courteously on SBAF and I'll take your name down.

This is a repeat offense across multiple audio websites, so I'm tired of it. Also, don't pull this off-your-meds conspiracy shit with anyone else, you must agree to behave decently globally on this website.

    Oh dear...

I'll make no further comment and will leave it at that. I won't use your real name (which as you know I know), no need for that, but ,oh boy, oh boy, am I biting my tongue... Carry on, Kunlun, you're doing quite well.

I have no problem with posting limited personal information (real name, city of residence, photo) under certain circumstances:
    1. Someone makes a post which seems like very personal attack to the point where it is threatening.
    2. Someone makes a threat to destroy equipment at a meet.
    3. Someone is a known flipper (who pretends to be a starving student).
    4. Someone makes threats of violence, implied or otherwise.
Sorry, I'm not a member of the any-sort-of-doxing-is-not-cool-school-of-thought. Sometimes, the identity of trouble makers needs to be outed. Perps need to reminded that sitting behind the keyboard does not guarantee anonymity. However, I don't believe in posting non-public personal information like bank account numbers, social security numbers, birthdays, names of family members, etc.

I actually agree with Kunlun, Andromeda's treble bothered me at first going from the ie800, took a little while to get used to the sound. I think it also has to do with the tips used as well, spinfits actually made the andromedas sound super bright to me, but the stock silicon tips toned down the treble a bit in comparison.

Oh, believe me, I can back it up, but allow me to choose not to do so in this thread. Why? Well, for one, our feline friend is one of the regulars on this site (and was a regular on CS as well), so that makes things a little more complicated for the sparrow to state his case, for obvious reasons — no matter how different this site may be from HF—and it certainly is!—human nature is human nature. Then there's the fact—and I really do mean this—that I don't think it's fair to do so on a thread dedicated to the Andromeda, or any other piece of gear, for that matter.

Now, and FWIW, Señor Marvey and the sparrow, for instance, haven't always seen eye to eye, but I do think Mr Marv, on the whole, is a fairly decent, honest and no-nonsense guy. I like that. I respect that. I wouldn't have joined CS or SBAF if I thought/felt otherwise. I also think he's a fairly mature guy. Make no mistake, though, Señor Marvey and the sparrow are certainly not pals, and will likely never be. I'm cool with that and perhaps even feel more comfortable that it is that way in the end. My view of our feline friend, on the other hand, isn't very positive (to put it mildly) for a number of reasons, reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with gear-related preferences.

Colourful is a good choice of word in this context.

No you can't you crazy wingbat coward.

At best you can try to twist what I wrote and ignore over and again the nice things I have said about the Andro.

Here's the thing, you paranoid shitheel, on this site, and in life, it's okay to not be 100% positive about a product or anything. That someone likes what you like, but not as much doesn't make that person your enemy.

It's become obvious to me that this needs to be settled with trial by combat.

May I use his first name? I think cowardly accusations warrant it, besides the name being already public (easily googled). Also, he's being a crazy asshole (saying positive things but not hyping?! ITS A CONSPIRACY)

I have no problem calling out IE800 as the worst piece of IEM shit, but that diesn't warranty me an agenda accusation of Kunlun. It warrants me a doubt that either me or Kunlun's ears are fucked up.
