Really looking forward to getting these after reading this thread. Haven't had quality IEMs before.

I see Noble sells a cable with a remote for use with phones, but it's 1/3 the price of the Noble X.

Would a cable meant for Ultimate Ears products also work with these? The two pin connector looks the same. Are there any other companies with the same two pin connector I could find aftermarket cables for and use with the X?

Don't UE cables have weird resistors in them? Probably better to seek two pin cables elsewhere. Noble have some other cables:

I think the two pin connector is pretty standard, but since I've only had MMCX IEMs, please don't take my word for it.

    Edit:

This ugly infographic shows you some other brands that use the same pretty standard connector:

The standard 2-pin connector will work with Noble's. And a bunch of people make good two-pin after-market cables. With my Noble K10's I use the ALO Reference 8 cable, which is very, very good. Norne Audio, Toxic Cables, Moon Audio, ALO...tons of brands and models are out there. One dude at HF started to compile a list - which I link here for your reference (note I have no idea if he knows what he's talking about, haven't read the post in depth, but there's a lot of data in there) http://www.head-fi.org/t/633501/aftermarket-iem-cable-list-now-more-visually-stimulating

Noble also has their BTS, which is a short 2-pin cable and blue-tooth dongle-thingy that allows you to use any 2-pin IEM wireless. It also has a microphone and such so you can use it with your phone. https://nobleaudio.com/en/shop/wireless/

    Cheers

No. They are standard 2 pin cables from Plastics One. The same company that makes the majority of stock ciem cables. However UE uses extruded pins on their housings, so their connectors won't fit other iems (UM uses extruded now too).

(The old TF10 used odd sized pins)

I could swear that the ER-4 cables did, maybe I am losing my mind again. So is this just nonsense?

(I should have been more specific above; any confusion is my fault.)

Thanks guys. My issue is I am specifically wanting a cable with a built in remote for use with my iPhone. Noble has one, it's just expensive. But you've given me a good starting point for finding one, much appreciated.

I believe Shure's microphone cable goes for the cheapest, but you'd have to factor in the cost of the connectors and resoldering them.

I'm also looking for a 2-pin cable with remote for the Noble X. I found this one but the quality looks a bit dodgy. I bought some from them a few years ago and they were made with pretty thin cable.
    http://www.lunashops.com/goods.php?id=5520

$80 for the Noble cable with remote/mic is a bit pricey for me too. I've seen 2-pin to MMCX adapters which would let me use the Shure cable w/ remote I already have (around $50).

@Kattefjaes You quoted my HF post ... LOL. The Ety 2-pin connector is proprietary and quite different from these standard 2-pins.

Yes, all the ER and UE gave me vowel blindness, and I got thoroughly confused, it wasn't pretty :D

That seems to have wee bit recessed with protruding pin sockets. Unless your noble is similarily specced, you might have to get out the xacto and chop off the border on the cable.

Can't tell for sure if it's the same 2-pin connector, and I couldn't find the remote on that page, but looking at all "headphones with microphone" from that seller, I found this one with a straight plug in and a picture of the remote. The over ear loop part of the cable looks a bit promising too. Might be worth a gamble.

I like the feedback from a Spanish buyer: "Is a figment very quality nice, To the Price they cost you hear very well."
A Peruvian buyer said, "The cable is lined and ago uncomfortable use it."
A UK buyer said, "Product arrive totally useless, as pins cannot possibly be connected to earpieces."
A German buyer said, "Headphone cable to fit. you can use!"

Yes, that is the one that I ordered today. However, I found Gearbeat offer same IEM at quite lower price (US$9) including shipping.

Hope it helps. I will also take close up photos once I get this IEM. We still have plenty of time since Noble X will be shipped towards March next year. :)

Woah that's an astonishing low price for something with removable cables.

Cool. Look forward to your seeing what it looks like IRL. Would be great if you could try plugging it into an IEM with the standard 2-pin socket to confirm that it fits. Or if you have a set of calipers, measure them to see if they're the standard spec: 1.75mm pitch; 0.78mm diameter

That device from gearbest looks like it has a mic only; I want them sweet, sweet volume and playback controls.

Pretty sure it has the universal 1-button remote for playback that's compatible with Android/iOS. Anything that cheap isn't going to have MFi and Android compatible cables only ever have 1 button.

This is getting rather OT even though we all want this cable for the Noble X.

Edit: The lunashops cable is 3-button and in the comments it says it works with Samsung phones.

The wiring of Samsung and Apple is different however.
