I don't like speculation threads, buy why not for this? I'm curious about price, motor, arm, plinth, main bearing, etc.

What do people think the price is going to be?

I'm hoping under 1k, but I don't know how feasible that is.

So that says price should be between Bifrost and Gungnir?
    That would be nice....

An affordable top tier TT could open up a whole new younger market segment for vinyl. Could be good timing with Sony pressing again...

Arm design looks pretty novel. Wondering on the details like balance (static, negative etc), adjustability (vta/azimuth adjust) etc...

Headshell also looks like you might be able to change the offset angle dynamically?

That arm looks LONG. Honestly if they can hit $500-1000, I think they can really do well.

I say $995 without a tone arm. Now tone arms can be all over the place too, and I assume they would want to partner up with a cartridge manufacture. But maybe a $500 Schiit tone arm without cart?

Most sub-$2000 turntables are awful, if they can actually hit that Bitfrost Multibit price point with this, it will be really huge. Exciting times.

Looks like a 12" arm! Also curious about adjustability for VTA and Azimuth, granted there are tricks for this. Depends upon the price.

I really hope Mike is able to break the trend and bring some upper tier tech to a lower price deck.

Honestly, anywhere in the given price range, I'd be fine with a compromise or two on on-the-fly adjustments.

I think a no compromise and a cheaper version will be nice.

I want mine with monstrously thick platters and all.

if they're going to do a turntable i would like to see them do a high quality direct drive table like the new technics 1200g

there's already enough archaic belt drive designs floating around out there

I believe Mike said they were shooting for a cost in the bifrost-gungnir range. Hopefully that will come through, with or without tone arm.

Schiit has a couple things going for them to keep the price down. One is they do direct sales. The other is that they work really hard at manufacturing for a price point. It's easy enough to get a functioning turntable. Getting one under certain constraints(price, size) requires some clever manufacturing tricks which Schiit is willing to do.

I don't need another turntable, yet I am very interested in what Schitt comes up with.

If they hit the right price point, I'm definitely in. I like my Debut Carbon, but I'd like something more sturdy, and quieter.
