ADEL is bullshit, ask an audiologist. Every one I've asked has laughed.

ADEL was originally pitched at professional hearing protection and hearing aid companies, who rejected it.

Think about it, if ADEL was a break through in hearing protection, why is it not in actual hearing protection products?

Instead, it's sold to audiophiles :/

As for listening to music, iems will make you go deaf equally as fast as speakers or headphones, SPL is the key. You should take breaks and keep the volume down.
Volume exposure is cumulative, a few minutes break is not enough.

Just a few dB difference cuts safe total daily listening time in half.

    Hope that helps.

Great. Thank you very much~~~ Yes, I have JVC FX850 and will use with Andro by taking turn... And, Spot On.... I look at the screen all day and need occasional break not just ear protection but for overall health. :)

Yes.. It was huge help and save me a lot of dollars by not wasting money on gimmicky tech. :) Thank you very much. i will try to listen at lower volume :)

I'm an exclusive IEM user (ears disagrees physically with headphones, and still building speaker rig), and my hearing tests have not degraded in years (I test yearly due to (assumed genetic) hearing loss). It's SPL that gets you, not what makes it. Some audiologists may be confused, but then go on to sell hearing aids that you put into the ear.

[FWIW I wear in canal hearing aids for most of the day too]

I just measured my normal listening SPL with a free APP and it was 72 db. According to @Kunlun 's chart, it seems okay for duration I normally listen to. :)

Are they the same as the T8iE v2?

It's been a while since I heard he MKII but I remember bass levels as similar when Andromeda is on less than 1 ohm sources. However the MKII is considerably warmer and. I have more downward sloping through mids and treble. Andromeda will have more upper mid attack and much sparklier treble compared to the much more laid back and chill MKII. While the MKII sounds spacious and deep, Andromeda sounds much wider, airer with more space between instruments.

Do not turn this thread into an Adel marketing post, nor an Adel argument thread.

Would the iBasso IT03 be a decent upgrade from my IM-02 for a commuting IEM? The IM-02 doesn't have the greatest fit/isolation and sometimes I miss the more exciting signature of my old VSD5.

Has anyone tried Final Audio Heaven series or new Fxx00 series? I loved Ety ER4SR/XR and curious how they differ since both use single BA and similar narrow aluminium housing.

The IT03 will give you a more pronounced V shaped sig. Typically this is considered more exciting. The IT03 bass is very engaging. Lots of texture and depth. Its bolder and richer than the IM02. The midrange will be placed a little further back. Some find it s little on the thin side. Treble will have similar sparkle presence but will be less smooth in comparison.

IT03 is capable of CIEM like fit, if the housing shape doesn't cause you issues. I remember isolation being above average for a hybrid. Perhaps current owners can comment here.

Final doesn't go for neutral signatures like Ety, although they have a couple of models that are in that realm measurement wise like the Heaven II or perhaps the VII.

With their BAM tech, they can get plenty of bass without sacrificing treble presence, and have rich and weighty notes. Several are quite bassy and midcentric, while others can be bright and somewhat V shaped, like the FI-BA-SS, which is my personal favorite of the Final lineup that I've heard. Final single armature iems definitely don't sound like most typical single BA iems.

Appreciate your feedback! Seems like the bass will be the star, but the mids and treble won't be an upgrade. I would have the opportunity to return the IT03 if the fit is not right, so that part seems okay - I'll do some more research on a more complete upgrade from the IM02.

IT03 fits my ears like a ciem, and with the small spin fits, it's the most fit and forget iem in my collection (Andro, TG334, F111, ex1000).

i would consider the mids or the overall tonality to be on the dry side but not brittle or edgy. due to its fit and fun but not basshead balance, the IT03 is my go to iem for commuting and travelling.

Attenuation is ok but not the best (shure e215 or etys) despite deepish insertion.

if you believe in cable rolling, i am currently using the ALO litz cable for it which to me, gives it a slightly thicker midrange/lower treble.

the tips included are not the best tho

I have heaven vi ,vii and f3100
Vi and vii are completely different. Vi is rather smooth, intimate with good bass and warm mids.
Vii is clearer, more expensive soundstage ,less bass and generally less warm.
F3100 is like a baby vii
It seems that f3100 are the most forgiving of the 3 new F. In that case I would not like f4/f7 for sure
    Matter of preferences
I understood viii is more like the vi in term of signature (warm)
