Snake oil thread

I don't care about the hype or the patent(s) or even the marketing. I care what the speakers sound like....and they sound great!!!!

 

I'm looking at the Electrons seriously so it's no bull. I mean enough people can't be that wrong can they?

The same thought process went into recently picking up a Yggdrasil. Sometimes, ya just gotta try it for yourself.

 

This is the mantra for DIY.

But keep in mind that this sort of tweak is NOT going to make a huge difference in the 1st place, but the more resolving the entire system is, the easier it will be to hear 'changes and differences' as well as determine just what those 'changes and differences' truly embody.

And a corollary to this is, as the resolution and focus of the entire system is improved, these subtle differences are valued and appreciated all the more.

Which tweak? The DAC or the speakers? Without knowing the previous DAC or current speakers, how can you say what kind of difference there was with the DAC or will be with the speakers???

I tried reading that extensive list of BS but it was just too much for my mind and my soul.

 

Isn't Machina Dynamica satire? I remember reading something to that effect ages ago, which would explain why the snake oil seems to come pre-mixed with more bovine fecal deposit fillers than usual. I mean, no one could possibly fall for all that, or the "hot rodded" portable players.... right?

 

This has to a joke. Right? I mean a telephone call? Sounds like a joke post in this thread. And what's with this obsession with quantum teleportation? It's real, but it isn't the frikin Star Trek transporter. What does wave-particle duality have to with audio quality? Why am I asking so many retorical questions?

As a guy with several letters after his name specifically in the field of aerospace engineering... this machina dynamica thing makes me angry. The guy's listing of education and thesis ramblings is amusingly misleading, and half of it can be a fancy way of saying he knows how to use a cell phone.

 

Giant troll or tru-believer? I am leaning on giant troll considering the only reasonably priced things for sale are those springs. The copy on the products are making me laugh!

 

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the site is deliberately over-the-top. They wouldn't be such hard sells if they really meant for site visitors to buy into this crud, and seriously, hot-rodded casettes and portable CD players? Not to mention the comes-with earbuds look like something you'd find while dumpster diving.

... Then again, what with magic rocks and all, I don't doubt some people could very well fall for this tripe, in which case the Machina person/people is/are (Agh, you get it) preying on the cripplingly gullible. If it were just people with far more money than they know what to do with, that's one thing, but I know a few who're far from affluent but run themselves ragged working for money and max out their credit cards just to have the latest and greatest, drawing out that last, infinitesimal fraction of a percentage's worth of resolution.

I was thinking the same thing but realized the quantum tunneling of what crap they are selling would go through the Earth. Then I found a video that explained it all.

So I just tried the teleportation tweak and not only my headphone ring sounds much better but my electric razor in the bathroom right next to the phone has gone through an insane transformation. Now it shaves me without even touching my skin. Also, the internet router right next to the headphone rig performs much better; I have blazing fast internet along with free netflix, I'm dumbfounded. It's a pity, though, that I have a gas cooker instead of an electric one. I can only imagine what a transformation it would have gone through, had I had one.

I won't get into details of how much cooler the electric A/C unit gets the room. Long story short, this tweak is the real deal folks, I'm telling you. Long Live Machina Dynamica!

 

I remember a company that offered various weird tweaks, one of which could be done over the phone. I'm guessing that it was this one, and the name sounds sort-of-familiar, but I vaguely remember their website being more serious and less zaney. Maybe they decided to troll themselves!

If you click on add-to-cart, you get taken to a link which really, really looks like you are about to ask Paypal to give them your money. Maybe the next screen is a giant Ha Ha! but I wasn't going to take the risk. I have made accidental on-line purchases before! Luckily, nothing that I couldn't afford and nothing that I minded having. (And yes, the answer is, you do know you can cancel Amazon orders, right?)
