    So, the amp only takes balanced inputs, and they claim a fully differential input stage, but then they convert to SE, and have only SE outputs. What's the reasoning behind that design decision?

    30 day money back guarantee is not much of a risk though. They offer that same policy on LCD-4 (minus return shipping), if I didn't dislike their headphones I would try that offer.

    I'm 99% sure I heard a prototype of this amp paired with the LCD-4 at RMAF. Maybe the LCD-4 would sound better with a different amp. Or maybe the LCD-4 is holding the amp back. Whatever it was, the pair was underwhelming.

    What Hands said here regarding the pairing. I listened to both sets of LCD-4s and both sounded equally as bad.

    I posted something on HF about the indiegogo thing and I will say it again. Imagine if you were able to get a ton of people because you are Audeze to preorder these things with no money back option? This is just like the video game preorder industry with companies releasing their unfinished products on to the consumer. Great for Audeze as a company. Poor for the industry.

    It's the latest thus it's the best, can't argue with facts. Also preordering blind is the way to go when you get a "deal" in 2015, this is proven in the video game industry! It has also shown that if you liked one product and it's well produced from a company you will surely like the other one as well. (Nope nope nope)
    I will say that I am glad they are offering a full refunds at least.

    On a more serious note it will be interesting to see how the King release goes considering their first amp wasn't really a success. For what it's worth they make very good looking amps, I'm a sucker for brushed aluminum.

    That's what I thought, but it's SE output...which means either SE circlotron (it can be done, but it means absolutely pure hard Class A, like Asgard, which would be VERY hot)...or some kind of totem pole output...or something new.
