    Please keep it brief and save the lengthly discussion for the forum! ;)

    ==========================================

    I'll start:
    Massdrop: AKG K812 $799 https://www.massdrop.com/buy/akgk812
    I think you need to be signed in to see the deal. Drop is limited to 50... 11 purchases ATM.

    Not universally loved here. But this price might make some reconsider.

    I liked them somewhat, but not as much as HD800s.

    I think people should specify the country of the deal. Also is it allowed to share local in-store only deals here?

    You can look up the what country the deals are good in yourself, the poster has no obligations, they're just helping out with a deal.

    Why not share in-store deals? A deal is a deal...

    Let's stop making so many rules!

    So... "Mystery bag" from Sonic Electronix ... Seems to be the Sennheiser HD700 at $430.
    Might be some coupons or so to get it even lower I think.

    Since this is not HF, I will post the following member deals:

    Abyss for $3000 (might be negotiable?) --> http://www.head-fi.org/t/782789/fs-jps-abyss-ab-1266-deluxe
    Koss ESP-950 for $580 (and maybe negotiable?) --> http://www.head-fi.org/t/780685/fs-ft-koss-esp-950-electrostatic-headphones
    V-Moda M100s for $140 (with extra pads) --> http://www.head-fi.org/t/777719/new-v-moda-m-100-with-2-pairs-of-xl-pads-and-stock-pads-plus-cables

    Talking about member deals:

    Koss ESP-950 for $460 + $30 s/h + fees (if using Paypal) = ~$510-ish, not bad
    http://www.head-fi.org/t/770323/koss-esp-950

    Yamaha YH-5M Ortho In-ear, rare as heck! In fact, I think this is the only one I have ever seen go on sale anywhere
    http://www.head-fi.org/t/782537/ic-yamaha-yh-5m-ortho-earphone

    Sennheiser HD600 drivers (complete with silver screens) for $125 <- sounds like a good DIY project. I'd pick them up myself, but I'm lazy...

    I don't know about the US but in Sweden you can get new HD600 drivers from Headparts.se for less. Don't know if they are officially associated with Sennheiser but the Sennheiser support refereed me to them in an E-mail.

    Figured you might have some kind of equivalent as that head-fi post does not seem like a good deal. On another note, I've always been curious as to why HD650 drivers are cheaper. :S

    My guess would be there is a significantly higher number of HD650 drivers made compared to HD600. Higher volume = lower cost :)

    I don't think that's it. The difference is too big in my opinion. Hd600 833 SEK. HD650 590 SEK.

    musicdirect Fall clearance:

    PM1 (demo with full warranty) $875
    PM2 (same) $550. You might want to ask Alex if he's willing to mod it into a PMx2.

    Nice catch! That's slightly more than Oppo's refurb price - but Oppo hasn't restocked the PM-2 refurbs in some time.

    I lucked out and picked up a used PM-1 (with balanced cable) for $630 shipped off the Head-Fi forums. Going to pick it up on Saturday from post office. (Out of town until Friday night.) Going to talk to Alex next week :)

    As much as I didn't like the cream and coffee, the all black 598 just doesn't do it either.
