    Lots of fan service here:

    Clegane Bowl tease
    Eggy Stark confirmed
    Incest is best
    Littlefinger bites the dust
    The Wall falls
Ice dragon (worst dragon CGI of all the CGIs)
    Dickless gets a redemption arc

And why this bothers me but..... no dead giants, dead giants, no dead giants, dead giants

Enjoyed this episode much more than last week. Still had some clunky scenes. Kinda loopy that after eons of time the Wall has been up, it only took one ice dragon to take it out? Lame. Loved how Arya and Sansa played Littleweiner. Mr. Martin better put more than a hand in season 8. They need his whole ass in on the script. It will be a while. They don't start principal photography until October. But Westworld should be back before then. Do we had a tread for that? It should appeal to many here. Nudity, sex and violence. :D

Huge fan here. Borderline obsessive. I have watched the 1st season twice. Hopkins is brilliant. Hope they figure out a way for him to be in season 2. No spoilers here. If you haven't seen it, get caught up. Much better than what's going on with Game of Toilet Thrones lately. O.K. Too harsh. Hell, sticking with it. Get new writers for crying out loud!

What's Westworld? This doesn't look like anything to me...

BTW I'm looking forward to the 3rd season of True Detective being developed, and to The Night Of. Both breathtaking, in some aspects not unlike The Wire.

. Sorry for the long description.

Westworld is an American science fiction western thriller television series created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy for HBO. It is based on the 1973 film of the same name, which was written and directed by American novelist Michael Crichton, and to a lesser extent on the 1976 sequel Futureworld. It is the second TV series based on the two films, the first being the short-lived 1980 series Beyond Westworld. Nolan and Joy serve as executive producers along with J. J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub, and Bryan Burk, with Nolan directing the pilot. The first season premiered on October 2, 2016, concluded on December 4, 2016, and consisted of ten episodes.[3] In November 2016, HBO renewed the show for a ten-episode second season,[4]planned for a 2018 debut.[5]
The story takes place in the fictional Westworld, a technologically advanced Wild West–themed amusement park populated by androidhosts. Westworld caters to high-paying guests, who may indulge in whatever they wish within the park, without fear of retaliation from the hosts.

The series' debut on HBO garnered the network's highest viewership ratings for a premiere since the first episode of True Detective in 2014 and Westworld ranks as the most-watched first season of an HBO original series ever.[6] Westworld has received positive reviews by critics, with particular praise for the visuals, story, and acting.

Now back to our regularly scheduled thread. Excuse the detour @ultrabike and I took.

Edit: @landroni was making an inside joke. I brain farted and missed it. You'll have to watch the show if you want to know what it means. ;)

This season was very disappointing! It was generic Hollywood crap with nothing that got me into Game of Thrones. Rant and spoilers coming...

What happened to one boob scene per episode? Where were the shocking moments? The exploration is gone, but even more so everybody can suddenly fast travel. The atmosphere is gone. No more crowded cities, only throne rooms and CGI. Worst scene: the armor smith bastard boy running for a day through 3 or 4 scenes that all did not look alike.

The only character with a name that died was even a villain. What f'ing Walt Disney story has this become into? The acting has let down heavily. Jon weeps like a puppy the whole time, Daenerys has zero facial expression and Cercei is more impressed by a White Walker than a f'ing dragon that was said to be extinct and could have killed everybody right there on the spot because it had a bad day and didn't want to listen to its mother. WTF!

I want to see GoT back on track for the next season: I like the idea of Cercei giving birth to a dwarf. I want to see the dragons dead. Daenerys too. We don't need two heirs. Even better if they find out they did incest. Also kill Arya. Her mission is to kill Cercei but Jaimie will have to do that so we don't need Arya. Sansa becomes a little bitch like Geoffrey was because nobody wants to marry that whoring girl.

But damn, this series is turning into another gay fantasy Lord of the Rings shit with happy ending and all your favorite characters alive. If this series ends in harmony and peace, that would be the biggest disappointment of all TV shows I know. (Which aren't many, but anyway...)

Don't worry @k.e. They are using Martin's ending, which means it won't be a happy fairy tale. We can bank on that.

Regarding Cersei, she will miscarry. It'll be the final straw that breaks her sanity (after Jamie leaving this season).

    I think:

Daenerys will die by the hand of Aegon.

Cercei will die by the hand of Tyrion.

Jaimie will die by the hand of the Night King.

Aegon will die by the hand of the Night King.

Bran will die by the hand of the Night King.

Sansa will die by the hand of some random White Walker.

Arya will die by the hand of the Night King.

All dragons will die by the intervention of the Night King.

Tyrion will die by his own hand.

Jorah will die by the hand of some random White Walker.

Varys will die by the hand of some random White Walker.

    and

The Night King will cease to be by the hand of Aegon.

In other words. Every main characters will die, because all men must die, including the men not listed above.

I dunno if the offspring of Daenerys and Aegon will survive. But if it happens, there is a good chance it will not.

Hot Pie will die at the hand of the White Wakers because he refuses to serve the Night King a frozen pie.

I also think Tyrion betrayed Daenerys. That boat will likely be boarded by Euron. And in time Theon will kick Euron's ass. That is Euron, will die by Theon's hand. Daenerys will find about the betrayal and Tyrion will escape back to KL where he will meet with a broken Cersei which just miscarried. She will push Tyrion to the limit, like his father did. And Tyrion will kill Cersei. Then Tyrion will kill himself.

Hot Pie is the kindly man, and the Night King will kill him after killing Arya.

Disagree. If Tyrion betrayed Dany to Cersei, then the show is just pulling a cheap trick and has done nothing to make it believable. There will be trouble with Tyrion, but I don't think it's as simple as all that.

I could be wrong...it could just be another example of poor writing. But, I hope not.

Also, I think Jamie kills Cersei. It's far more dramatic/poetic.

    Me thinks:

Cersei will off a couple more major characters before Jaime/Arya kills her
Jon kills Dany (fulfilling the prophecy)
Jon survives till the end, but with no one left to relish the victory with
    Theon survives, Yara dies
Qyburn is more than meets the eye
Gregor kills Sandor in a pyrrhic victory of sorts
Dragons all die, but more eggs are found
Arya dies, but salvages her humanity
Bran ceases to exist / warps into another dimension / some other magic shit
Tyrion sacrifices himself for a cause
Pretty much everyone else dies: Varys, Jorah, Grey Worm, Daario, Davos, Euron, Jaime, Beric, Melisandre
A few survive: Sansa, Missandei, Podrick, Bronn, Tormund, Gendry, Brienne, Samwell, Gilly

Jon becomes the unwilling but prophesized king
Sansa is the sole remnant of the Stark family
Theon leads whatever is left of the Ironborn
Missandei returns to Astapor to tell tales of the Dragon Queen
    Bronn gets his castle
Samwell becomes the greatest Maester in the seven kingdoms
Tormund and Brienne end as the greatest couple in Westeros, with good ol' Pod tagging along

You what's my take? Almost everybody dies....At the last effort Jon and Dany's remaining baby will be offered as sacrifice. Tyrion will be King.

If we're lucky. I'd love for them to go scorched earth next season and kill off major characters every episode.

A bitter ending would be kind of awesome Night King wins, everybody dies. The book
    "I am Legend"
ends that way, it's too bad the movie didn't stay true to it. Vampires win, humans lose. Much more interesting than human saves the day.

There will be a large battle for Winterfell which will eventually fall to the Night King. Survivors will retreat to Kings Landing where the final showdown will take place.

As foreshadowed in the Beyond the Wall – a single person will take out the Night King, just as all seems lost and KL is about to be overrun (my bet is on Jon will make the ultimate sacrifice).

    Side thoughts -

Jon will die. Dany will live and the monarchy succession will be provided by Jon Jr.

Bran and Arya will die in the battle of Winterfell. Sansa will escape (evacuated by dragon) and be reunited with Tyrion. Sansa will become Warden of the North supported by Tyrion.

Theon will find redemption by saving Yara, but will die in the attempt. Euron will be killed by Theon.

Jamie will kill Cersei, but die in the battle around KL, along with Bronn.

Brienne will survive and become the head of the Kingsguard.

Grey Worm, Davos, Varys, Missy, Melisande, Tormund, Beric and the Hound will all die as part of the conflicts.
