There's no such thing as headphone depth, or height.

    Infinite baffle would be nice to try out, since a lot of depth that is created with speaker placements are mostly likely not realistic.

    Close your eyes. Don't expect the system/speakers to do all this stuff for you: you have to do the really important work.

    well I've never been unsatisfied with with headphones, I really love my HE 4, it creates a great sense of space! When I do have the chance to sit and really visually what I'm hearing. I've never had an issue picturing my self in a room with the band or singer. Each has a clearly defined spot, some headphones allow that image to be generated quicker and more clearly than others. But a good point you've made

    What I've found to be most impressive was listening to Adelle's @ Royal Albert Hall through a pair of Maggie 1.7s, while I was visiting that store front, I had a chance to really sit, shut my eyes an listen. An that already amazingly master'd album really came to live! Dave the rep there, mentioned that ProSource is encouraging the market to shift back into Hi-fidelity 2 Channel systems, apparently that's what he found out at their last trade show...
