Wow, the bad cantilever is actually visible in the picture and he still claims it's never abused? That's some Grade-A bullshit right there.

 

And it just sold for $480 + shipping. The seller got even more than than what I bought it for.

 

If it was anywhere other than ebay I'd report it for fraud, but ebay doesn't give a shit.

 

Dale Thorn exists on teh internets in a self-made shroud of infamy. If you don't already know of this, consider punching in "site:changstar.com" before "dale thorn" in the googlator and reading the first several hits. I think there is some commentary about him here as well. This is not a comment on the quality of his gear or reasonableness of his prices, but his internet reputation precedes him and not everyone is a fan.

 

Dale has gotten himself banned from a lot of online headphone communities for rather controversial topics and also arguing with anyone who disagrees with his reviews. I think he resides mostly at audiocircle now where he has taken over the headphone subforum, because it's a small community there and he overpowers them through sheer volume of posts. I try to interject here and there, and we've butted heads a few times, but nothing too serious so far.
