Makes me think I should ask my dad if he still has his reel-to-reel! Fond memories of him cueing up tapes when I was a kid. That's a unique sound when you're using your fingers to manually wind the tape one way or the other.

Also recently inherited a Nakamichi Dragon cassette tape player. I would have given my left you-know-what for one of those when I was in high school! Trying to decide if I should keep it or find it a home for a SBAF friend, as I'm not sure if I'd actually use it these days. Anyone here Jonesing for a Dragon?

    Cheers all

No problem. It’s crazy good deal if it’s in excellent condition and I would’ve bought it myself if I was looking for CD transport...

If that was 230v it would be mine. I want the Black version 230v but avoiding customs. Still they are not that common but with the usb problem the price could be friendlier.

i'm not an electronic music expert but i imagine they'd sound good with any genre. they're larger than they look but small for how they sound. 2 drivers front ported, and they have a switch that allows you to roll resistors (same value resistors but different materials). i forget the details but i'm sure his website has all that. if i didn't already have speakers i liked i'd prob buy these. but yeah email with the guy, he's very helpful and smart.

I listen to electronic music on my Bhavas all the time and quite enjoy it. Is there something more specific that you're looking for from the speakers?

I'm specifically looking for speakers that don't need a sub, and are preferably front ported as these are since I place them closer to a wall near my desk (on stands) and use them for nearfield listening. I currently use a set of Presonus Sceptre S8, which I feel are very clean sounding but dont extend as low, and dont have the finesse or musicality of good sounding speakers. I would be using the First Watt J2 to drive them so want speakers which dont need alot of power either.
