I'm interested in the GR07x, which gets rid of the treble resonance via a new housing.

But here comes the gr09, which looks to be half off at $300 on some sort of pre-order:

"Ceramic housing and nano carbon diaphragm" Hmm.

We should recruit/kidnap this guy and ask him to convince the VSonic CEO to send us iems for a loaner tour.

$600 is a stretch, don't you think so? I'm not sure what it sounds, but I guess it's the trend nowadays to put price tag up north.
Btw, me jumping ship with the $300 price tag without knowing how it sounds? I ain't wanna get another GR07 (no offense, it's really good) when it can be had much cheaper.
Vsonic let me down before when they promised the K3003 clone (which I suppose is done by DUNU later?). Hope this one brings something special to the table.
Speaking of ceramic, I read that a couple of impression on the RHA's were kinda stressing on the uneven? treble. Hope this GR09 manage to stay away from that.

Hopefully they stop using copper alloy in the sound tube. Builds green gunk.

still remember my jaw dropping when i first heard the vsonic gr07 classic...for the price they scream value.
all that detail and tight bass...if only the treble had been toned down a tad to lessen the sizzle, and the bass upped a tad...just a bit.

Speaking of jaws dropping... Mine did when I saw the price of these. Wasn't expecting them to be this costly.

You mean the new vsonics gr09? How much? Maybe if stupidly priced they took inspiration from hifiman's greed in their new $6k cans or $2k iems lol.

Almost March 31... optimistic about this one considering the success of the GR07.

Based on head-fi shills trying to weasel their way around it, the $300 pre-order is a lie. No word on whether $600 will be the actual price.

No word on the actual day (or year!) of the gr09 coming out.

Still looking forward to hearing these, but not so keen on vsonic shenanigans.

Now the story spins even further, saying that it's only limited release and will perhaps pushed back to June (on the HF thread I just saw). That's really a suspense.

LOL, since before I "joined" the hobby, probably four years ago they were already teasing it, hope to be great, the VSD3 was my favorite low fi IEM ever, but they used to have a good price to performance ratio...
