Oh hell yes. There is a 36mm version for slimmer wrists as well.

For more $, the Rolex Explorer I is a timeless classic in a similar style. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual is another great choice.

These are all stainless steel watches that can be the only nice watch you ever buy, going with a suit or on the beach.

Apparently, the most popular thing I've ever written about watches is comparing the dial of this watch to some toilet paper I once had:

It's a beautiful watch. At least it was until I read that.

Here's my Oris Aquis. It matches my car interior. :) My other watch is a Tissot Le Locle COSC Chronometre, but I never wear it anymore. I need to Ebay it soon.

@TomHP great piece. Wear that one well!

One watch I've sold in the distant past and really have no good reason why was an IWC chrono pilot. The IWC Pilots have basically everything going for them. Perfect size, supreme comfort, and really great looking.

Thanks, I love it too. I only have one watch and I wear it day in day out, so even after only 5 years it's already showing some wear and tear. I need to bring it in at some point to be serviced and polished.

I know you're kidding, but just clarifying:

The Watch thread is about sharing what you love about watches. Proving what you own is alien to the spirit of the thread. Nobody cares what anybody owns, sharing something you're wearing because you love it is always welcome.

Nice pic, the big pilot line is a classic, John Mayer is a big fan.

It was offered as a prize to the winner of the Geneva competition in 2009. I was only 19 and only made it to the semi-finals. I hope I can own this watch one day ><.

That's a gorgeous manual wind perpetual calendar (with day of the week, month, date and moonphase, it even adjusts for the extra day on leap year), the pattern on the dial (guilloche) is done by hand on a wafer of gold, which is then silvered to make it white.

Breguet model 5447BB in white gold (the number on the dial is the serial number):

Breguet is one of my favorite brands, so It's hard not to geek out a little over one.

What a wonderful thread! I'm just curious to hear some opinions. I'm torn between these two:

Same model, just different colours. Eventually I will get one of them but right now, I just can't decide. Opinions?

Hmm, there are a ton of Omega speedmaster models and editions. This one fits an annual calendar on the dial along with the chronograph. What drew you to this particular one?

Between the two, I think the blue is more legible, which is important for a watch you want to wear often and enjoy. I'd go with that one, of the two.

I've always wanted a speedmaster and didn't have a personal preference for any particular model. When I was browsing through the internet about the various iterations of this legend I just fell in love with this design. Detailed, yet not crowded. The movement is nothing fancy (by Omega standards) but I'm just in love with this model. This iteration ran out around 2003 as far as I know. I feel the ivory is more suitable for every day use; I can only imagine myself wearing the navy blue in suit. But I have a flawed taste, as I was told! :)

Umm, you forget the best part... It's also has a minute repeater. Because, you know, it did have enough stuff in it already.

I didn't know you were a big fan of the brand - it flies so under the radar these days no one seems to care much about "the most magical name in the annals of horology" these days.
