Not going to lie, I consider half of the value from my amazon prime membership to come from watching the series. Best Sci-fi I have seen in a long time.

Yeah season 4 was good. It's based on book 4 which is considered the worst in the series, next couple of seasons should be very good judging by the books.

I try to stay away from Bandcamp because I could spend years and thousands of dollars there, discovering new stuff. But I might have to have have a peek. I have most of the PG stuff I want on CD, but here's hoping for some new material.

The old RS 3300099 is reliable to 30 dBA. I have several here and checked them all against the B&K 4231 and cross calibration at various SPL with ACO 7046 using pink noise through a Genelec 8030 at 25 cm. edit: at standard room temp only - accuracy reduced at other temperatures.

I have a Check Mate CM 140 that I mounted to measure my ambient figure, I will admit the fridge is sorta loud. Enough that I cut it off to shoot videos, can't do that for listening everyday tho

But I can get a consistent 39.4 - 39.8 reading in the middle of my office at night. 41.3-42 dBa during the day. [Also I rent]

Is the SPDIF coaxial connector loose on the Gungnir for anyone else? It works, but it kinda feels funky connecting the cable.

Yeah, it was kind of loose on my Gungnir. It is not attached to the chassis, only soldered on the motherboard, that's why. BNC is much more rigid.

Was a "hi-res" skeptic until I pulled up some familiar albums in 24/96 on Qobuz, like Buckley's "Grace". Been cursing MQA more ever since. I'm sure you're getting a better sense of Yggdrasil's resolving abilities as well.

Spotify doesn't have the same DRM? I thought UMG did that on all of their music that's not on CDs, including bought(!) digital copies.

I haven't noticed it on Spotify. It was most noticeable on hi-res content on Tidal, so maybe lower bitrate makes it harder to discern. Also I don't critically listen with Spotify, whereas if I'm paying for lossless I want it to be indistinguishable from my CD rips. Either way, Tidal supports MQA so I won't support them.
