Reminder to self: Don't wrestle away Tasers from cops. Standard procedure requires them to go to their backup: the Glock or the Beretta.

Reminds me, wrestle away the cops and do something really stupid you get fast responders or special ops. Anti-police people are stupid, sorry but true. Not too familiar with the USA internal stuff, I have never visited, but my logic tells you don't want to mess around with the cops. I get when people want reforms and change, but choose wisely. Peace out.

At its most basic, the blue layer is hydrophobic to keep droplets on the surface, the middle layer is the filter, and the white layer is hydrophilic to absorb your droplets. Your stuff kept in, their stuff kept out.

Just finished listening to the album in 24/96. I had to stop after the 3rd track to recompose myself. The 3rd track "Translation" had me melting in my chair. The album is a compilation of new and old recordings. The recordings from 2009 and newer are great. The tracks from before 2008 are not the same level. Still good but not at the same sonic qualities of the 2009 and newer recordings that John Atkinson worked on.

John Atkinson has worked on 4 of their albums so far. "A Drop In The Ocean" 2012 (16/44.1), "Into Unknown Worlds" 2014 (16/44.1), "The Doors Of Heaven" 2017 (16/44.1 & 24/88.2), "Translations" 2020 (16/44.1 & 24/96).

"A Drop In The Ocean" has a version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" that is glorious. Amazing. "Into Unknown Worlds" has a version of "Amazing Grace" that is heavenly. Amazing. But both only available publicly in 16/44.1. I desperately want both of those tracks in high-res.

Having the same bout of luck with electronics here too. My step down transformer broke, followed by my Primare amplifier, within the same hour. *laughs*

Albeit that I knew there's an issue with the amplifier and I'm scheduling time to have it serviced, and the step down transformer is some cheap Taobao stuff which had been buzzing... So there were signs.

Interesting to see that the more MF speakers (w right gears and settings) I learned about, the better I could transfer it to headphones.

Thought it would be just an extremely uneven allocation (ultimately converges to either side), but I found myself rather enjoying going back and forth across two different worlds.

Upside of speakers listening is that I can re-learn some concepts I thought completely wrong when only with headphones. Downside? It's inherently less personalized. Space and neighbors are the biggest limiting factors. For example, I can't reach to the optimal volume level I believe to have full macrodynamics.

On the other hands, headphone listenings are inherently f***ed with stereo recording. To hear it right, substantial adjustments needed using the brain consciously (i.e., hear past the practical limitations), which I found benefit from speakers listening.

mike sanders from quicksilver has been making tube amps since the 80s. his stuff is legit but not mainstream because he's always been against giving review units to the big mags. this amp looks good, he winds his own transformers and I have never heard an EL-84/6BQ5 amp I disliked.

philistine ... you need to use olive oil instead of mayonnaise. This olive oil:
trim steaks, pat dry, salt, coat in olive oil and then cover heavily in freshly ground black pepper. Let it marinate for several hours at room temp. Cook on grill at 700 deg F. Not too many grills can make that temp. The result will be well worth the effort.
