Thought: would burst response readings change in extreme cases of high or low amp output impedance with a particularly reactive driver?

      2: Not sure I understand, but I don't think there's much there
3: It definitely changes with damping, etc. What I'm most interested in is how much nonlinearity we can see with headphones. At maximum excursion in either direction, how does the impedance change?

3: They do this stuff for speaker drivers regularly and that's one of the advantages of low inductance designs (copper cap). Low inductance -> less of an impedance change. Less distortion.

It's been a bad time for furries.

Had to be The Ferryman a few days ago for my wife's daughter and one of her dogs on that dreaded final visit to the vet.

Poor sweet Sasha was in a terrible state, and it was the right decision. She passed away gently, quickly and peacefully.

Odd thing: the other dog of the house, an eccentric poodle, who never seemed to even like Sasha, is now heartbroken.

The Magnius was the first thing I ever bought from schiit I sent right back. Flat 2d boring sounding chip amp. The midgard probably destroys it and most likely Jotunheim 2 should be looking over it's shoulder. I could be wrong though, would love to hear it, but I already have 4 headamps.

Memories of plane trips 20 years and more back: carrying a little man-purse size thing that could accommodate a portable player and about a dozen disks. Had to be small enough to convince airline staff that it shouldn't count as an extra carry-on. Still got the player, not the case.

We've been blessed with wonderful old senators (McCain, Carl Levin, Moynihan, Romney et al.). We should not be ruling out the most-experienced, best-qualified candidates with age-limits or term-limits. We need to find other solutions—ranked-choice primaries would be a start. I'm only mildly concerned about the likely 2020 candidates; but see https://www.nationalreview.com/2023/09/something-is-going-to-break/
