@Hands I'm about to order an aes digital cable to use with the loaner and want to confirm that the aes digital in is female, not male. Is that right?

Honestly I can sit the loaner out if it's a pain, not a big deal at all. I don't see myself getting yet another vintage DAC, so it was really just for shits and giggles/comparison anyway.

Go ahead and cross me off the list and probably @brencho as well. We've likely heard enough to need a loaner.

It's on its way to @philipmorgan already. Tracking says Tuesday arrival.

PS @sphinxvc what's that insurance donation email? Somehow I'm blind and don't see it.

Thank you. It felt odd building a cable with male connectors on both ends, but you've confirmed that's exactly right for my scenario. The SPD2 hat has a female AES connector on it too. Dunno if that's the usual polarity for AES out on a transport.

I think most transports have a male jack, and most DACs have female jacks.

Received! Everything looks kosher except one rubber foot pad is missing. Might be in the shipping box somewhere?

Hmmm, I didn't take inventory of rubber feet but I don't see any at my house. If @drfindley notices a foreign rubber foot on his carpet perhaps he'll let us know?

I'll poke around some more inside the cavernous shipping box too. :)

Ah, yeah, one of the rubber pads was pretty loose. I totally forgot before shipping. Don't stress it. Not like you can't find a million replacements for dirt cheap.

I'm going to drop out of the loaner, I just have too much shit going IRL with the holidays and my wedding following shortly in January. Everyone else, I hope you enjoy.
