    I've tried:
    LG G3
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.3 (CM13 nightly from a while back)
    Nexus 4
    Nexus 10
    Motorola G

I used using a power bank with the G3 and Samsung, but not with the others (the others are not my main devices, so just a quick plug in and check). The Fulla 2 works perfectly with my Linux box and Windows laptop.

    Thanks for the help!

When I connect my SMSL M3 to my LG G3 or Samsung tablet, all audio goes to the M3 regardless of app, I'd like the Fulla 2 to do the same. My main apps are Google Music and the Roku app. When I use USB Audio Tester with the SMSL M3 connected, the DAC/AMP is properly detected and identified. With the Fulla 2, the USB device is visible, but it can't identify it as an audio device.

    1) your devices are old as hell. Any USB support comes with an OS update (dodgy) or third party driver (also dodgy). Honeslty, sell some of your devices and buy a more current phone if you want USB audio to work reliability with more USB DACs.

    2) if swapping your OTG cable doesn't work and the troubleshooting you've tried so far doesn't work, you're SOL.

    3) Cyanogen is hacky as balls. Are you running custom ROMs on all devices or just some? A bunch of device specific stuff might not work quite the way you expect when a third party with no view of the manufacturer's source tries to hack their own fork of AOSP onto the device.

Only the Samsung is running non-stock software. I'll bring the Fulla in to work and try it on some newer phones and see how it goes.

I my use case doesn't necessitate me using the Fulla 2 with my phone, but it would be cool to figure out why it won't work. I am using a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 running 6.0.1 (no root or anything else custom). I was able to use my GOV2 Infinity without issue as far as I recall, so I am not sure why the Fulla isn't working. I have USB debugging enabled and have forced the USB connection to be Audio even, but the Fulla doesn't seem to register at all on the phone. I am using the same OTG cable that worked with the GOV2, so it shouldn't be the problem, but I am ordering a new one just to be sure. Any thoughts off hand?

Terrible pairing with the Andromeda. Tons of background hiss and you have pretty much zero play with the pot. You also have to get fairly loud on the IEMs before you are past the channel imbalance on the pot.

The Noble X and UERM don't have much pot play, but both work just fine with the fulla 2.

I just ran it with a Nexus 6p, pixel XL, pixel, SGS7e, LG G5, Sony Z5 compact, Nexus 9 and the Moto G4 play. All work just fine. That being said, all of these devices launched on M or newer.

It doesn't just work with regular apps, etc? I think devices that launched pre L/M are hit or miss. Try a new USB OTG cable, try powering the DAC with an external 5V power source before connecting the OTG cable, try regular music apps (Play Music), then try UAPP. If all fails, call it a f'ing day.

Yes, it would been great if it works with all of mobile phones (old and new models) but I think that it is not main usage for Fulla2 was developed for.

On Fulla2 product description says, "Total Flexibility for Desktop. It is developed to answer to the question, “What’s the most affordable way I can get into great sound on my desktop?” And by “my desktop,” we mean everything on it. Fulla 2 is ready for your headphones, your powered monitors, your analog sources, and more."

If it is to pair with phone as a main purpose, then Dragonfly Red might be better option (which is x2 more expensive). For Fulla2, it might be better to be paired with desktop/laptop sources as they stated.. It is $99..and what it can do at the price, I have no complaint ;)

    It also says
    • Use it with phones, iDevices, or computers with low-powered USB ports. We’ve included a second USB port for power input. Plug in your phone charger (or any other 5V DC source with micro-USB output) and Fulla 2 tells your source it doesn’t need any power.
Like I say, all my other USB audio devices (including one from Schiit) work on my Android devices. This one doesn't.

Hopefully it's just a reflash of the CMedia interface needed...

What android devices are you using? You never actually said you're having problems too.

YEP, they might over-promised on this little unit. My one is expecting to arrive in 2 days. I never listen music from my phone so not a biggie for me and will test my old and new phones. (iPhone SE, Galaxy Note 2, LG G4 etc) just to see if it works on my case.

@schiit change your compatibility to "Most Android devices launched on Android 6.0 Marshmallow or newer"

Main ones are a Nexus 6 (currently on Android 7) and an ancient S3 (4.godknows). The latter spends its life banded to a Mojo with the radios mostly off. I tried a couple of others kicking around (a 2013 Nexus 7 and some other newer Samsung), with identical results. Things work with my other USB devices, but not with the Fulla.

However, it's the Nexus 6 that I usually have with me, and which I'd normally expect to work just fine. I'm quite a heavy user of USB audio peripherals (headsets and external DACs), and this is the first time I've had any problem with one.

If the trains are running later in the week, I will be able to see if the Pixel C works with it- that was Marshmallow at launch, as memory serves.

(It might make more sense in context, Decomo replied to a post before I deleted it, which went into detail, and we were discussing it like it was perfectly normal. Potentially confusing to anyone else, though.)

    Edit:

What's worse is that the Fulla 2 also doesn't work on my iPad (iPad Pro 9.7, iOS 10, offical Apple CCK). When I plug it in, iOS says "the connected device is not supported". Some of the time, it doesn't even succeed in enumerating it properly enough to read the device name. Sometimes the name shows as "I'm Fulla Schiit" as you'd expect. Very occasionally it's just garbled ("I'mI'm Fulla Schiit" etc.)- this only happens infrequently, so it's hard to screenshot.

The iPad is a current model, totally patched up to date. The Fulla 2 is powered prior to being plugged in via the official Apple CCK. The same iPad works with random headsets, the Mojo, the Modi Multibit and so forth. The Fulla 2 seems to have some serious issues, sad to say.

(Additional note: Using standard Apple Lightning CCK, non-powered kind, with Fulla 2 externally powered.)

    Edit the second:

I bought two Fullas, intending to give one as a gift. For the purposes of completeness, I unboxed this second unit, and it's even less functional than the first. Works OK on Windows/Linux. Neither iOS nor Android see it being plugged in, even if it's fully powered first. Connections as above.

So that's two Fulla 2 units, neither of which work on either my iOS or Android devices. However, they fail in slightly different ways. Houston (and @schiit), I think we have a problem.

Absolutely. We're so used to Schiit over-delivering, I didn't for a minute question the claims on the web site. Everything I've had from them has been a joy so far. Nobody is perfect, I guess the acid test is how a company solves a problem when it arises.

I can confirm that the Fulla 2 does not work with my iOS devices: an iPad Pro and an iPhone 6. The error message says: "IOSUSBHostDevice: The connected device is not supported", but as @Kattefjaes said, it's not consistent: sometimes, there's just nothing. Tried it with and without an external power connection, with identical results. I pinged Schiit support about it, but the person there just asked me if I plugged everything in correctly. A reasonable first question when it comes to support, of course. Have not heard back from support after confirming that I know how to plug in devices. I assume and hope silence means they're working on it.

Kinda sucks because I prefer to use an iOS device as a source at work, rather than a computer, and was hoping to use the Fulla 2 for it.

Weird, because it definitely does work on iOS and newer Android devices here.

I hope we're not seeing product variability. I'll point Nick at this thread and we'll bring back the bad ones and see what's happening.

For those who are having problems, do me one favor: try the Fulla with different cables, if you have any handy.

Did that. Bought fresh OTG cables from Amazon, even. Tried different USB cables, power supplies, the whole nine. Better to not mess about before accusing you guys of shipping duds :)

With one of my units, the iPad actually notices if you plug the Fulla in unpowered and tells you that it needs too much power. With the other, the iPad doesn't acknowledge that you have plugged it in at all, powered or not.

(For sanity's sake, I then went and re-tried the Modi Multibit and the Mojo with it, just in case the CCK was suddenly kaput- both worked perfectly.)

I tried multiple OTG and USB cables (all of them verified working with other devices) and no luck here. I'm going to bring the unit to a few of my Android-loving friends around the office and see how it goes.

Aha, found it. Some of the boards are missing a 0402 part. Looks like a panel misprogram, or simple vibration problem (parts falling off), because not all boards are affected. If you have problems, contact [email protected] and get it swapped.
