Atomicbob, did you happen to try measuring what difference (if any) Regen makes on Gungnir MB jitter/digital performance?

The corporate research gig has me booked for most of today. I have a day off tomorrow and will see if it is the dScope script automatically changing some level or if there is a difference between the Gungnir MB digital inputs. There is also the possibility that the USB to SPDIF DDC (Reflink) introduced a change in the data.

Thank-you. Will be included in the testing tomorrow.

Not yet. Will try to work this in with other requests.

wasn't reading properly but thats still a mighty find square wave with little overshoot and virtually no rounding. Impulse response and maybe even 16 bit -90dbFS would be nice to see.

The generator for the Balanced 1 KHz -90 dBFS USB sine was inadvertently set to -84 dBFS for that one measurement. The correct graph can be seen in the 2nd post, first picture, in this thread:

Tests I intended to run today are delayed one week due to an unfortunate medical emergency at 0200 today.

Thank-you all for the kind thoughts. Worst is over, but like earthquakes, there are after shocks. Holding steady at the moment. Good news is that I can spend a lot of time on recreational listening, as long as it is calming music.

I noticed you accidentally attached a repeat of the charts from part A. Do you happen to have the part B charts? I'm considering this DAC and would love to see them for SE.

I own a Gungnir MB and I can tell you it’s a fantastic sounding DAC and certainly worth the price. There’s a possibility that there will be an upgrade soon to an “Analog 2” Model. I didn’t want to wait anymore so I ordered mine a couple weeks ago. I’ve had it for almost a week and I’m very satisfied.

These measurements were posted when this forum was changstar. It would appear that something happened during migration; most understandable given the tremendous amount of work involved by those tasked with the migration and keeping this site running. A mostly thankless and volunteer effort.

Careful review of the data compared to Balanced Part A and B demonstrates that Single Ended Part A is a repeat of Single Ended Part B. Look at the graphs found at this location:
