I have some more hours (not as many as I would like at this point) on the speakers and they are sounding fantastic. I wish I had another quality amp to throw into the mix. It would nice to hear how the speakers sound with something other than Vidar. Since I don't have anything to compare my setup to, it's hard to judge how good it is. All I know for sure is that I am very happy with the sound. Especially compared to what I heard when I went to listen to other speakers in the $3K to $4K range.

    Interesting thread.....

    This one is more interesting:

Yep, I still have Christmas ornaments hanging from my chandelier. And yep, I should have gotten the non-reflective glass. Also, yep, Purgatori and Lady Death premium format.

The speaker stands are isoacoustics on top of Polk RT55s. :)

    It's really a wonder I don't get more chicks.

You can put a photo or something on the wall. Or maybe put a shelf for your records between the speakers and put the thing on top (I don't know what it is)

Yeah, I'm probably just going to put some panels up in the room as there's some room resonance. Also, by thing, I'm going to assume you're talking about my amp that's sitting on the floor (that's a Benchmark AHB2). At first I though you were talking about my weird window above the speakers.

You must have really short coats. And what the heck is that thing in the corner above the speaker?

    P.S. Nice speaker stands!

Snapped one of my stereo setup this weekend. I am going to DIY some additional art print acoustic panels soon. I keep kicking around the idea of replacing the Audio-GD Master 10 with a Schiit Vidar setup, but I fear the Vidar will not stack up. If anyone in Metro Detroit or surrounding areas is interested in a REL Stentor III let me know! I never use the thing and I am real tired of carrying it when I move house!

Here's a pic of my 2-channel system in my old house. Awaiting renovations to be completed in the new place so I can set it back up again!

My pathetic 2.1 "system", basically speakers for the TV. B&W M1s that I hand carried back from Europe, Velodyne Impact 10 Mini, NAD D3020, and a Denon CDP I bought in uni but never use. My wife's doing a crossword puzzle. Pic isn't taken from the listening/sitting position.

I think mine might be even smaller ... :(

Petite, yes, but also pretty darn powerful, especially for a room the size as mine (around 12' x 16'). They weigh 30 lbs each and are rated at 1,500Wrms per channel.

Of even more importance are the treatments made to the room, especially the bass-traps in all of the corners. Did a lot of work to correct issues with the standing wave patterns in the very small room, which are made worse by the fact that the walls are plaster over brick (1880's Philly row-home). The result was not perfect (using a pretty good sound meter), but really good bass IMHO.

    Cheers

Do you find your treble gets more intense every time you refill your printer?
