Will the M0 support a 512 GB micro SD card? I don’t have any at the moment but will get one eventually and would love to be able to use it with the M0.

From what I am reading - the 400gb sandisk might be the limit.

Thanks! I can make 400 GB work.

I'm a bit worried about the trend here- if Shanling manage to make an even slimmer one, will it have to be the M-1 or the M1/2?

(Also, ordered one locally, will try my Sandisk 400GB with tons of FLAC in there. The Shanling site did say max 512GB, not sure if it still does.)

Note that they can't/won't say it supports higher capacities than are available because you can't validate cards that do not exist, but my very very old Sony phone (up to 32gb microsd!) reads 256 cards just fine, that's usually the case.

Our new system used in M0 has no connection to HiBy, so can't really use their app.
But because this system will be on all our future models, we have similar app in works.

    Should be coming in July!

All units bought from international dealers comes with 1.5 installed.

I's USB-C for convenience and quality, but still only USB 2.0 when it comes to the speed. 3.0 hopefully for future model.
The range with LDAC, well now everybody understands why Sony made sure to put there three different quality settings ;)
Encountered some problems with unique symbols, will need to play around with some fonts to fix it all.

I can confirm it works perfectly with 400GB Sandisk, tested it, running on it in office.
512 GB should work also without problem, we just didn't get one to try it out. (not even sure if any of the 2 announced cards is on market yet?).
In theory, M0 should be fine even with 1TB card.

    And one sad news:

Due to multiple reasons, both on side of manufacturing and international trade, MSRP of Shanling M0 will be raised to 109 USD.

This change will take place in 30 days, on July 1st 2018.

Change of MSRP will affect all sellers of Shanling, both international and Chinese.

    Thank you for your understanding.

Yeah BT AptX range is really bad too. You’ll def want to keep the M0 on you if using.

The impending price jump pushed me to get one now. I’ll use a 256 gb card for now until the prices come down on the higher capacity cards.

We actually run into interesting thing. When my Chinese colleagues are testing BT headphones, even the lowest grade, M0 works great with them, without any cut outs, even in open field, with M0 in back pocket.

But when I try to do it, being taller and fatter than them, I might get cutouts in some positions. This pushed us to look more into the signal strength fo M0 and we hope to improve it more with future firmware updates.

I don’t recall having any problems when it’s on me but Just walking a few feet from my kitchen to yang tai causes constant cutouts. I don’t use it much with BT though. This is with Harman Kardon BT Premium headset.

Prices for those are pretty volatile. What works for me is to stalk the one that I want on camelcamelcamel, so I can pounce when the price blips down for a bit. Note- if buying from Amazon, I tend not to buy flash cards from marketplace sellers, as there are so many shady fakes about.

Well, I have been playing with an M0. The UI is a bit janky, but the device doesn't sound terrible for the price, at all.

I did try some LOL format* FLACs and it fell over sometimes- playback stopped. When re-started, it was glitchy and corrupted for a while before recovering. Redbook was fine though. The ergonomics of the volume knob aren't great, and it's too easy to accidentally unlock, but such is life.

The leather-stylee case doesn't have any sort of screen cover, which was sort of the exact point. Would a screen protector for the M1 fit?

That said, for the money, it's not bad at all, those hitches aside. Nice backup device to have.

*24 bit/192K - I normally listen to Redbook, but this was just for testing.

That’s worrisome about the 24/192. I do have some hi-res FLAC and I would expect the player to be able to handle it.

I’m getting mine today, going to play with it this weekend. Hopefully that isn’t an issue.

Well, it was just peachy with Redbook, which is the main thing. I may go back and try my grand total of four or so albums worth of high res content. I only really listen to one of them for entertainment, anyway.

However, I should really just get off my ass and do a decent-quality downconvert, having taken advice from a local expert on what does a good job.

Mine hasn’t had any problems so far with .wav or hires FLAC. I also have mostly redbook but I have played several hi-res albums numerous times.

    Real quick thoughts:

This thing is micro sized! Like an iPod for Smurfs.

    Dead silent with Andros.

It’s going to take time to untrain myself from interacting with this like it’s my Apple Watch.

24/96 worked flawlessly. Bluetooth from my phone less so.

    Will report more later.

Yeah, it reminds me of the tiny iPod that Apple made around that size..

...though without the slick Apple UI but loads more flexible (no iTunes horror and plays loads of formats out of the box etc.).

So it's quiet with the Andros.. does it actually sound OK too?
