    Sadly, I'll be starting real crunch in January, so I'll have to pass it up. Thank you though.

    original ken the vi dac infinity is basically a balanced dac/amp/digital preamp with a screen and apple remote. sabre 9018AQ2M chip. it's a tweaked version of the geek pulse x infinity and linear power supply in one bigger nicer chassis with more features

    Lol. Thanks.

    So update:
    @recarcar till dec 13
    @nedifer, dec 14-jan 21
    @uncola, dec 23-jan 5
    @Original Ken, jan 8-19
    @Hands, jan 21-28

    I split the gap between uncola & OK, hope that works for you two. If anyone else wants to get in on that, let me know.

    I'd prefer to move the whole loaner up by a week, but it requires coordinating the Bifrost Multibit loaner and Hands schedule. @Hands, @velvetx, if thats an easy possibility, let me know.

    haha uh.. can you take me off the list? Too many deliveries in december might piss off my angry live in person. Zerodeefex already has vi dac and Gungnir Multibit it turns out so his comparison will have to do

    One other addendum to the list: I have to leave for the East Coast on the 20th, so I will be sending it off to whomever get it next on the 19th.

    Bummer: Iit's almost sounding as though I could keep it through the holidays--if only I was staying home!

    :)

    I will be picking it up from @recarcar this afternoon...

    My original Vi DAC came with UPS having played soccer with it. Another is being cross shipped to me.

    Uncola: I'd suggest you get on the list for January. I will compare the two but I'm almost certain of my take given the Pulse infinity. The main differences for the Vi DAC are a better 15V power supply, analog volume control, some better components in a few places, and a much better chassis.

    So, I can use the Gungnir Multibit starting on Monday, December 28th. I don't need a whole week - a couple of days should be sufficient. Since I use a Bifrost Multibit, it's just a question of hearing the difference for myself on my system.

    Also, in the previous schedule, I was planning on shipping on Friday, January 8th (due to some work that may occur starting January 11th). So, the newer schedule (post #145) that showed it slipping to arriving on that day may not work for me.

    I mention this to make it easier to figure out something workable for everyone.

    Not surprising that no one can make time for it during holiday season, with shopping, guests and so forth.

    Okay. I don't have time to rework the schedule tonight, so will try to review all the new requests tomorrow and post an update.

    thanks sphinxvc - I am open for whenever you need - I can also keep an extra few days if necessary to keep things on schedule. I already have my holiday stuff pretty much taken care of so if I have it over the Holidays because everyone else is busy that is fine - whatever is best for you and the schedule, but anytime is fine with me.

    How does this work?

    @recarcar till dec 13
    @nedifer, dec 14-dec 19
    @Original Ken, dec 21-jan 8
    @The Alchemist, jan 11-jan 19
    @Hands, jan 21-28

    Since Hands & Velvetx haven't chimed in, I think they prefer to stick with their Jan 21-28 schedule.

    OK, I had to put you in a pretty big gap since uncola dropped. I know you mentioned you wouldn't have too much time to listen to it during the holidays though, but I know you're good from dec 28-jan 8. If you do get enough time with it and can send it to The Alchemist early, that'd be great too.

    @recarcar or @nedifer, if you can post how much it cost to ship Gungnir Multibit including insurance so everyone else can get an estimate, please do so. I forgot how much I spent.

    I'm good with whatever as I don't need the loaner to be sent to me. Hands will be the last stop then ship it back to Marv.

    @sphinxvc That seems like a waste. You are having the one person who only needs a day or two (me), keeping it for three weeks? Seems silly.

    Since @The Alchemist can use it over Christmas, then why not have @nedifer send it to @The Alchemist ?

    Either he can have it for longer, or he can sent it to me towards the end of December, leaving room for either a) another person, or b) Hands to get it earlier.

    I am up for that. I would love to be able to have it a little longer and over the holidays - I will be home during the holidays and have no trips or vacations planned, so I will be able to listen to it.

    @Original Ken, the strange itinerary reflects the constraints of everyone's schedule. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can only realistically listen to/receive/or ship out between dec 28-jan 8. And while TA can use it over the holidays, Hands doesn't 'need it' till later on. Not sure whether he's okay to receive Gungnir Multibit early, but I stuck him in anyway in the revised schedule below. We can adjust things if need be. I think his only interest is in measuring/comparing the unit against Bifrost Multibit, which he'll have bet. jan 21-28.

    So basically, whatever. See the schedule below. Hands gets it for 2.5 weeks, possibly equally "silly", but hopefully there's some utility to the extra time for him. TA's time has been increased by a few days.

    @nedifer, till dec 19
    @The Alchemist, dec 21-dec 31
    @Original Ken, jan 3-jan 8
    @Hands, jan 10-28

    Note to self for future loaners: coordinating shipments during the holidays is like trying to calculate the trajectory of a probe that's using multiple gravity-assisted slingshots for its voyage, while dealing with there being a 50% probability of half the planets in your model "dropping" into an alternate dimension at any given time.

    That seems ideal. The one person who can use it over the holidays is getting it then, I'm getting it in the slot I can use it, and then if there is anyone else, they can be added in January.

    And thanks for all the work you are doing to help others !

    @sphinxvc - Schedule for me looks fantastic - looking forward to it! If the schedule stands as it is now, I will just ship out to @Original Ken on the 31st.

    I sent the Gungnir on to @The Alchemist today. It was lovely--though I liked the Bifrost Multibit, I liked the Gungnir Multibit much more (I only have single ended gear).

    I'll write up my impressions once we've arrived on the East Coast and I have dispatched the work that will be following me there.

    Thanks again to @purrin for the opportunity and to @sphinxvc for all the hard work on coordinating the loaner schedule!

    I use the Gungnir multibit with single ended gear and my enjoyment is not lessened.
