For Sale: Used Parasound Halo A23 Stereo Amplifier (please buy and flip it on Ebay)

Parasound A23 stereo amplifier. It says on the Parasound site that circuitry is designed by the legendary John Curl, but Mr. Curl disavowed the prior version of this amp on DIYA, saying to effect that Parasound did all sorts of nonsense to his design that he was not aware of, at least that's how I read it.

Basically, this amp is suitable for home theatre, which is an euphemism used by two-channel guys for this amp sucks. You can read my review somewhere on this website. And yes, it sounds like shit. Probably not on A-GD Singularity 19 DAC or NFB-1 headamp level of shit, but close to it, like the Topping D30 DAC.

CONDITION: The amp lacks any feet and has some scratches. It was rack mounted. It is functional. Everything works fine.

Asking for $350 + shipping. CONUS. The money will go into SBAF coffers, our treasure chest to buy new gear for loaners. I do not care if you fiip it on Ebay for considerably more. Just so you know that @zerodeefex or @brencho won't go after you. It's already boxed and all I need is to slap a label on it. I don't have time to deal with Ebay and I almost dropped it off at Goodwill or the Starvation Army today.

Someone please buy this and either use it for home threatre or flip it on Ebay for $600. It's taking up room in my garage.

 

I use crappy $100 crown amps for home theater. Don’t use this for that. Buy and flip.

Yes, any garage sale pro class AB amp is better than this.

Hmmm, if this drops to $250 I’d say it’s priced right. At least then I’d pick it up for atmos channel duty.
